"Fly into Japanese culture through film" - JFF Magazine has been launched to deliver the appeal of Japanese films to the world

          The Japan Foundation has launched the online magazine "JFF Magazine", to improve awareness of Japanese cinema's appeal and Japan's unique culture reflected in films. The main target of the magazine is set to the Asia-Pacific region, where people have limited contact with the Japanese films. In addition to latest news related to the Japanese Film Festival, the magazine will provide articles written by foreign writers in 5 categories (lifestyle, food, travel, history, and general), focusing on Japanese culture that can be learned from films, with the writer's global perspective. The web site will also provide a search functionality for Japanese movies as well as actors and actresses, with the cooperation of JACC(R) search.

          About the Japanese Film Festival

          The Japan Foundation has been carrying out the Japanese Film Festival(JFF), with the goal of promoting both cultural exchange and the spread of Japanese cinema. In 2016, the JFF Asia-Pacific Gateway Initiative was launched with three basic schemes: JFF Asia-Pacific Network, JFF Asia-Pacific PR events that fans participate, and Construction of JFF online platform. With these schemes, JFF will be more than just a single event but a unified brand, to ensure its content is approachable and interesting for both the audience members and the movie industry professionals attending in each country.
