Overcoming Language Barriers in Japanese Food Business
When doing business in Japan, one common challenge international buyers face is the language barrier. To address this, show management ensures a smooth and accessible experience: all exhibitors are export-focused and provide English-speaking staff. Product details, pricing, and other materials are provided in English to ensure a smooth experience for overseas buyers. Whether the buyer is new to Japanese food sourcing or an experienced importer, the event makes the process easy and productive.
Maximize Participants' Visit with the Appointment Booking System
A unique benefit of the event is the "Appointment Booking System," which allows visitors to:
- Pre-book meetings with exhibitors
- Access a personalized portal ("My Page") to manage schedules
- Contact exhibitors directly before the show
This feature streamlines visits, reduces wait times, and boosts business efficiency.
Hosted Buyer Program -- Now Accepting Applications
Qualified international buyers can take advantage of the Hosted Buyer Program, designed to support high-level sourcing and facilitate effective business matching.
Benefits include:

"How can one know the beauty of spring without visiting Jiangsu!" The gentle Kunqu Opera melody, like a gentle breeze, unveils the mysterious veil of the Jiangsu chapter at the Osaka Expo. From May 20th to 22nd, the Jiangsu Week at the 2025 Osaka World Expo, themed "Joining Hands with Beautiful Jiangsu, Creating a Green Future," weaves a thousand-year-old tapestry of "Charm of Jiangsu" through intangible cultural heritage performances, technological interactions, and economic and trade negotiations.
Stepping into the Jiangsu intangible cultural heritage exhibition area, Nanjing Yunjin dazzles like silk, showcasing the grandeur and beauty of the East; tea artists pour tea into cups, flowing out a millennium of tea aroma; Suzhou embroidery masters stitch with flying needles, bringing to life double-sided goldfish on plain silk… Traditional crafts such as Xuzhou fragrant bags, Yancheng porcelain carving, and Taizhou wood carving are also on display, allowing the world to touch the profound cultural heritage of Jiangsu. In the interactive experience area, audiences return to the "Jiaolong" submarine dive site through the "Five Oceans Adventure" digital exhibition, immersing themselves in the magic of digital technology.
"The display of Jiangsu Week is extremely exquisite, allowing people to fully experience the beauty of a profound cultural heritage," said Dong Erjun, a self-media blogger living in Osaka, who has visited the Osaka Expo more than 10 times and finds the "Jiangsu Week" particularly special.
The friendship between Jiangsu and Japan spans a thousand years and remains fresh, with 45 years of deep friendship between Jiangsu and Osaka Prefecture, becoming a vivid epitome of China-Japan local cooperation. The Jiangsu Economic and Trade Exchange Conference, held at the World Expo, attracted nearly 60 Chinese and Japanese institutions and enterprises, allowing companies like Wanbang Star Charging Technology Co., Ltd. to accelerate their global expansion.
"Jiangsu is the region in China with the longest history of exchanges with Japan and the closest ties. It is also the region with the most concentrated Japanese investment in China," said Xue Jian, Chinese Consul General in Osaka, whose hometown is Jiangsu. Currently, the import and export trade volume between Jiangsu and Japan accounts for nearly 1/5 of the total trade volume between China and Japan, with more than 3,000 Japanese-funded enterprises in Jiangsu and over 460 investment projects in Japan.
During the event, Yancheng Day, Wuxi Day, and Suzhou Day took turns to showcase a comprehensive, real, and three-dimensional Jiangsu. Li Qingshuang, Deputy Director General of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Head of the China Pavilion, believes that "Jiangsu Week" presents a Jiangsu that blends tradition and modernity, openness, and innovation, allowing the world to further understand China.
