Airborne Wireless Network Files for FCC Experimental License for System Demonstration
- Marking Significant Progress in the Commercialization of Company 's Patented Infinitus Super Highway(TM)
Airborne Wireless Network (OTCQB: ABWN) has filed for an experimental Federal Communication Commission license file number 0378-EX-ST-2017 to begin air-to-air and air-to-ground meshed network system evaluations. Once approved, this license will allow the company to begin ground and flight radio frequency transmission testing of its patented technology, the Infinitus Super Highway(TM).
The demonstration system has been lab tested at one of Airborne Wireless Network's contracted partner facilities. The Company will now take these successful results and bring them to its test bed Boeing 757 aircraft for ground fitting, testing on the tarmac, and eventual flight evaluation.
During this flight demonstration, the Company intends to pass broadband data between airborne aircraft and a ground station, demonstrating the air-to-air and air-to-ground meshed network.

Once implemented, the Infinitus Super Highway(TM) will be an air-to-air communication system. It will be a new use for the (already existing) fleets of commercial airline aircraft to replace low-earth orbit communication satellites. Infinitus should provide low-cost, broadband wireless communication infrastructure from points-to-points, accomplished by using and modifying existing, small, lightweight low-power, low-cost relay station equipment onboard the commercial airline aircraft. Each equipped aircraft would have a broadband wireless communication link (within line-of-sight coverage ranges) to one or more neighboring aircraft or ground stations, which will form a chain of seamless airborne repeaters providing broadband wireless communication gateways along the entire flight path. Infinitus Super Highway(TM), when implemented, will provide broadband wireless communication services for customers in-flight as well as customers on land, along the line-of-sight ranges of flight path from the commercial airline aircraft.

The Company intends to create a high-speed broadband airborne wireless network by linking commercial aircraft in flight. It is projected that each aircraft participating in the network will act as an airborne repeater or router, sending and receiving broadband signals from one aircraft to the next and creating a digital superhighway in the sky. Wu Tianhua, founder and CEO of Tiger Brokers said: "Tiger Trade is a fintech product designed by the company as a one-stop stock trading platform for global Chinese-speaking investors to conveniently access to cross-border investment portfolio." According to Wu, in addition to access to US stocks, Hong Kong stocks, and China A-shares, the platform, which is available to logon through smartphones or PCs, supports transactions involving securities margin trading in addition to 13,000 US stocks, share options and ETF products.

Global recognition is one of the reasons why the number of people taking IELTS continues to grow, with 2.9 million tests taken in 2016.

Sasol Receives Best Corporate Taxpayer Award in Mozambique for Second Time
Sasol Petroleum Temane (SPT) received the award for Best Corporate Taxpayer for 2016 at the Mozambique's Tax Authority's annual event held on 22 March 2017.
The event acknowledged various corporate companies who received certificates of recognition from the Tax Authority Chairperson Amelia Nakhare. This is the second year that SPT has been presented with the award, having received the same award in 2015.
At the event, the Republic of Mozambique Pipeline Company (ROMPCO) received first place in the IRPC (corporate income tax) payable on profit category, ROMPCO is a joint venture between Sasol, Companhia Mocambicana de Gasoduto S.A (CMG), and South African Gas Development Company (SOC) Limited (iGas).
Additionally, Central Termica de Ressano Garcia (CTRG) was awarded first prize in the overall best tax payer in the medium tax payers' group. The CTRG power plant is a partnership between the Mozambican state power utility, Electridade de Mozambique (EDM) - EDM holds (51%) and Sasol (49%) currently producing 175MW which benefits two million Mozambicans.
"We are honoured to have received this acknowledgement from the Mozambican Tax Authority and are proud to have played a pioneering role in the development of the country's gas industry," said Peter Manoogian, Acting Senior Vice President: Exploration and Production International at Sasol.
"Mozambique lies at the center of our growth strategy for Southern Africa, we remain resolute in nurturing our investments in the country and partnering with the Mozambican government and other stakeholders to help stimulate growth to improve the quality of life of Mozambicans," he concluded.
Sasol's commitment to Mozambique began well over a decade ago when, together with its partners, Companhia Mocambicana de Hidrocarbonetos CMH and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) developed the Pande/Temane natural gas project. This project pioneered the monetisation of the Pande and Temane gas fields which had been effectively 'stranded' for over 30 years.
To date, more than $1 billion was delivered to the government of Mozambique. This includes corporate taxes, royalties and social investments, as well as profit share and dividends paid out to state-owned entities by the upstream gas processing and midstream gas transportation projects.

Symetis and Boston Scientific Reach USD 435 Million Purchase Agreement
- Definitive purchase agreement whereby Boston Scientific will acquire Symetis for $435 million in an all cash, up-front payment
- Acquisition of Symetis will expand the treatment offerings for patients with aortic valvular heart disease
- Acquisition projected to close during the second quarter of 2017, subject to customary closing conditions
- Symetis' IPO launched on Euronext Paris and very well received by the investment community, has been halted
Symetis, a medical technology company specializing in the development, manufacturing and marketing of percutaneous heart valve replacement solutions for the treatment of severe cardiac valve conditions, today announced that it has agreed to be acquired by Boston Scientific for $435 million in an all cash, up-front payment.
The acquisition of Symetis by Boston Scientific will allow the company to extend its reach and expand the treatment offerings for patients with aortic valvular heart disease worldwide. The combination of Symetis' ACURATE valves with the Boston Scientific Lotus(TM) valve platform, will also enable interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to address varying patient pathologies and anatomies with two complementary and compelling technologies.
Jacques R. Essinger, Ph.D. and CEO, Symetis, commented "Over the past years, Symetis matured into a TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) player with fast growth and a solid clinical reputation. Following the purchase agreement reached with Boston Scientific, the IPO launched on 20 March 2017 by Symetis on Euronext Paris, very well received by the investment community and which was originally expected to be completed on 31 March 2017, has been halted. The acquisition of Symetis by Boston Scientific is projected to close during the second quarter of 2017, subject to customary closing conditions.

Symetis, a medical technology company specializing in the development, manufacturing and marketing of percutaneous heart valve replacement solutions for the treatment of severe cardiac valve conditions, today announced that it has agreed to be acquired by Boston Scientific for $435 million in an all cash, up-front payment.
The acquisition of Symetis by Boston Scientific will allow the company to extend its reach and expand the treatment offerings for patients with aortic valvular heart disease worldwide. The combination of Symetis' ACURATE valves with the Boston Scientific Lotus(TM) valve platform, will also enable interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to address varying patient pathologies and anatomies with two complementary and compelling technologies.

The Mikey Czech Foundation Contributes $1 Million To DIPG Research At Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
The Mikey Czech Foundation, Inc. (the "Foundation", www.mikeyczech.org ) a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation established by Stephen J. and Jennifer L. Czech to finance medical research for pediatric brain tumors, announced a $1,000,000 gift to Pediatric Medical Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber, headed by Mark W. Kieran, MD, PhD, and located in Boston, Massachusetts. The gift is the largest-ever single donor gift dedicated to Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma research in Dana-Farber's history. The proceeds of the gift are designed to further the research and development of remedies for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma ("DIPG") pediatric brain tumors, the type of tumor that claimed the life of James Michael "Mikey" Czech in 2008 at age 11.
DIPG brain stem tumors affect the cranial nerves of children, ages 3 – 16 years old, destroying the nerves that supply the muscles of the eye and face, and muscles involved in swallowing. Symptoms include double vision, inability to close the eyelids completely, "drooping" on one side of the face, and difficulty chewing and swallowing. The tumor also affects the "long tracks" of the brain, with resultant weakness of the arms or legs and difficulty with speech and walking. As the tumor grows, children initially lose their ability to use their limbs. Thereafter, they sequentially lose their ability to swallow and breathe. Notwithstanding their physical deterioration, the children maintain their mental faculties and are fully cognizant of what is happening to them. Survival past 12 to 14 months is uncommon, and new approaches to treating these tumors are urgently needed as no known effective therapies currently exist to treat DIPGs.
"The assets required to cure DIPGs consist of: (a) a sustainable funding source; (b) world-class neuro-oncologists; and (c) state-of-the-art research facilities," said Steve Czech, Mikey's father and Chairman & Co-Founder of The Mikey Czech Foundation. "We intend to be the sustainable funding source and we believe that Dr. Kieran, his colleagues and Dana-Farber represent the 'best-in-class' with respect to pediatric neuro-oncology research and state-of-the-art research facilities. This gift is our second of what we hope will be a series of gifts, comparable or larger in size, designed to eradicate this heinous disease."
In addition to his efforts with the Foundation, Steve Czech is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Czech Asset Management, L.P., a credit focused alternative investment manager based in Greenwich, CT with approximately $4.3 billion of committed capital under management and significant co-investment capacity. In an effort to establish a sustainable funding source for DIPG research, Mr. Czech contributes a percentage of his personal income to DIPG research.
"Funding from The Mikey Czech Foundation is critical because it will allow us to continue to conduct research to define the underlying molecular changes in DIPG that have previously made these tumors so resistant to therapy," said Mark W. The first national clinical trial of biopsy of DIPG and molecular classification followed by treatment individualized to the specific aberration in each patient's tumor (the first such trial in the world) has already been completed. Out of these efforts came the discovery that DIPG occurs as three different variants with unique molecular signatures that have different mutations, some of which were unique to DIPG and unknown in any other cancer. Dana-Farber is now developing targeted therapies against these mutations in the hope that we can finally begin to make a significant impact in the treatment of this disease. All of this effort came from the dedication of patients, their families and foundations, including The Mikey Czech Foundation, and would not have been possible without them."

Survival past 12 to 14 months is uncommon and almost all children have succumbed to the disease by 2-3 years. New approaches to treating these tumors are urgently needed.

HH Karmapa, Leader of One of the Four Main Schools of Tibetan Buddhism, Marries Childhood Friend
Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, supreme head of the 900 year old Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, announces today that he has married a childhood friend, Rinchen Yangzom, in a private ceremony in Delhi, on 25th March.
In a surprise statement to his students, the 33 year old spiritual leader says he will continue all of his activities as Karmapa, with the exception of conducting ordinations - as he is no longer a monk. He has passed the responsibility of ordinations to His Eminence 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Karma Mingyur Dragpa Senge.
The Karmapa, literally 'the one who carries out Buddha activity' is the head of the oldest reincarnate lineage in Tibetan Buddhism, predating the Dalai Lama's Gelug school by over 200 years.
Karmapa says, "I have a strong feeling, deep within my heart, that my decision to marry will have a positive impact not only for me, but also for the lineage... Something beautiful, something beneficial will emerge, for all of us..."
"For those who follow the path of an ordained life, we must encourage and respect this. In this 17th incarnation, for both the future of the lineage, and fulfilling the wishes of my parents, I have chosen a different path. At the same time, my commitment to protect and preserve the monastic body, and the lineage, remains paramount in my life, and my continued role as Karmapa."
Thaye Dorje is not the first Karmapa to marry. Khakyab Dorje, the 15th Karmapa, was married and fathered three sons, two of whom were recognised as senior 'tulkus' or reborn masters in the Karma Kagyu lineage.
Karmapa and Rinchen Yangzom, a Tibetan name meaning 'Precious Prosperity Gathered,' have known each other for more than 19 years, and share what Karmapa describes as a "special, spiritual bond".
Rinchen Yangzom, 36, was born in Thimphu, Bhutan. She has nine siblings. She was educated in India and Europe.
On 19th January 2017, Karmapa proposed according to Tibetan traditions. Upon the aspirations of Karmapa's father, His Eminence Mipham Rinpoche, the marriage took place on 25th March in the presence of close family members. Karmapa and Rinchen Yangzom will mark their first joint public appearance at the Kagyu Monlam in Bodhgaya, the place where Buddha attained enlightenment, in December 2017.

Karmapa and Rinchen Yangzom, a Tibetan name meaning 'Precious Prosperity Gathered,' have known each other for more than 19 years, and share what Karmapa describes as a "special, spiritual bond".
Rinchen Yangzom, 36, was born in Thimphu, Bhutan. She has nine siblings. She was educated in India and Europe.
On 19th January 2017, Karmapa proposed according to Tibetan traditions. Upon the aspirations of Karmapa's father, His Eminence Mipham Rinpoche, the marriage took place on 25th March in the presence of close family members. Karmapa and Rinchen Yangzom will mark their first joint public appearance at the Kagyu Monlam in Bodhgaya, the place where Buddha attained enlightenment, in December 2017.

HEC Paris Launches Groundbreaking Online Master's in Innovation & Entrepreneurship on Coursera
HEC Paris and Coursera launch their first fully online international degree program, the online Master's in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OMIE). Europe's leading business school has created this degree in collaboration with Coursera, the world's leading online learning platform. The program is designed for present and future business leaders who wish to drive innovation within their organizations or launch new ventures. Applications are now open for the first intake of students with classes starting in September 2017.
According to HEC Paris Dean Peter Todd, the need for courses designed for entrepreneurial and innovative leaders is greater than ever: "This new online degree answers the needs of the ever-changing and rapidly-evolving world of business. In 2013, we were the first business school in France to launch a Massive Open Online Course on the Coursera platform." Indeed, HEC Paris' more recent ability to build open courses will now be leveraged to develop a fully online degree for the entire world.
Coursera CEO Rick Levin is hopeful that the OMIE will make learning from a top business school attainable to people globally: "Thanks to a unique curriculum based on stackable credentials, participants can benefit at each level of learning. They can choose a single course, decide to specialize in one program, or embark on a full-fledged degree."
The online Master's in Innovation & Entrepreneurship will be as selective as all other degrees at HEC Paris. But it is also designed to be flexible, allowing prospective students to start learning immediately on the Coursera platform with open enrollment Specializations. Once admitted, Specializations can then be credited towards the degree.
"Participants will leave the program ready to launch their own venture or to innovate within their existing organizations. This is a unique opportunity to earn an HEC Master's degree and join the exclusive HEC Alumni network," explains Peter Todd.
Students will work in teams over a six-month period on a project of choice, from the planning stages to bringing the idea to life. They will receive mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders who will meet with them once a week. Successful graduates will be able to move their respective project into its next phase by applying for seed funding from HEC Paris, and have their project come to fruition at HEC's incubator, based at Station F, the world's biggest startup campus.
