CSA Group and Embassy of Canada host a Seminar on the Importance of Standards to International Trade
CSA Group, a leading global provider of standards development, product testing and certification services, together with the Embassy of Canada to China held a seminar today in Beijing on the importance of standards in a global market. The faculty of speakers included: RJ Falconi, Executive Vice President Government and Corporate Affairs, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, CSA Group; Helene Vaillancourt, CSA Group Executive Vice President, Science and Engineering and Interim Executive Vice President, Asia; Guy Saint-Jacques, Canadian Ambassador to China; and Dr. Wang YiYi, Director Standardization Theory and Strategy Institute, China National Institute of Standardization and Mr. Duan Baotong, Standardization Administration of China.

CSA Group Adds New Capacity for Aerospace and Personal Protective Equipment Testing and Certification in Montreal, Canada
CSA Group, a global provider of testing and certification services and leading standards development organization, expanded its state-of-the-art mechanical laboratory in Montreal, Canada adding new Aerospace and Personal Protective Equipment services to help clients reach global markets.
The state-of-the-art, expanded and modernized laboratory is able to conduct a variety of testing to Canadian, ASTM and ANSI standards. Recent expansions to the laboratory include a controlled environment testing chamber, a new helmet impact tower, a new safety shoes impact tower, new compression testing equipment and a projectile cannon for visor testing.
CSA Group is well known for its testing and certification of hockey helmets. In addition, the Montreal laboratory also tests personal protective and sporting equipment such as hard hats, lacrosse helmets, ski helmets, masks and has a new lab for testing of safety shoes.
