Windlab ผนึกกำลัง Vestas เดินหน้าโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าระบบไฮบริดระดับสาธารณูปโภค โดยผสานพลังงานลม-แสงอาทิตย์ และระบบกักเก็บพลังงานไฟฟ้าเข้าด้วยกัน

          สองผู้นำแห่งอุตสาหกรรมพลังงานทางเลือกได้ประกาศรายละเอียดขั้นสุดท้ายของโครงการที่จะช่วยเร่งกระบวนการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่การใช้ระบบ Hybrid system โดยพลังงานทดแทน และมีเป้าหมายเพื่อผลิตพลังงานทดแทนที่เชื่อถือได้และสามารถตอบสนองความต้องการและสอดคล้องกับข้อกำหนดด้านการเชื่อมต่อไฟฟ้า

          จากการพัฒนาโดยบริษัทพลังงานทดแทนระดับโลกจากออสเตรเลียอย่าง Windlab ด้วยการสนับสนุนของ Vestas ผู้นำระดับโลกด้านการผลิตพลังงานจากลม จึงทำให้โครงการ Kennedy Energy Park Phase I กำลังผลิต 60.2 MW สามารถขึ้นแท่นเป็นโครงการระบบกักเก็บพลังงานไฟฟ้าในแบตเตอรี ร่วมกับ พลังงานลมและพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์แบบออนกริด เพื่อรองรับการใช้งานในระดับสาธารณูปโภคเป็นโครงการแรกของโลก โดยออกแบบให้สามารถจ่ายไฟฟ้าพลังงานทดแทนที่เสถียร เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการด้านพลังงานการใช้ไฟฟ้าในออสเตรเลีย Kennedy Phase I ยังช่วยปูทางให้ออสเตรเลียและประเทศอื่นๆเพิ่มสัดส่วนพลังงานทางเลือกเข้าไปในระบบ Hybrid system และรับมือความท้าทายด้านความเสถียรของระบบจัดการสายส่งไฟฟ้า ซึ่งเดิมถือเป็นข้อจำกัดที่ขัดขวางการใช้พลังงานทดแทนได้อย่างแพร่หลายมากขึ้น

          โครงการดังกล่าวตั้งอยู่ในฟลินเดอร์ส ไชร์ ในรัฐควีนส์แลนด์(Flinders Shire) ซึ่งมีทำเลเหมาะกับการเป็นฐานผลิตพลังงานจากลมและแสงอาทิตย์ระดับแถวหน้าของโลก โดยโครงการ Kennedy Phase I ประกอบด้วยการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้ากังหันลม V136-3.6 MW ของ Vestas ขนาด 43.2 MW พลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ 15 MW และระบบกักเก็บพลังงานไฟฟ้าในแบตเตอรี Li Ion ขนาด 2 MW/4 MWh โดยกำลังไฟฟ้าทั้งหมดนี้บริหารจัดการโดยระบบการ ควบคุมของ Vestas ซึ่งจะใช้ในการดำเนินงานโรงไฟฟ้าระบบไฮบริดแห่งนี้

          ขณะเดียวกัน เพื่อเป็นการสนับสนุนเพิ่มเติมโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าไฮบริดในออสเตรเลีย ทาง Windlab จะร่วมมือกับ Vestas ในการแบ่งปันความรู้และประสบการณ์ที่ได้รับจากการสร้างและดำเนินงาน Kennedy Phase I ผ่านทางสำนักงานพลังงานทดแทนแห่งออสเตรเลีย

          โรเจอร์ ไพรซ์ ซีอีโอของ Windlab กล่าวว่า "Kennedy Phase I เป็นโปรเจกต์แรกในประเภทนี้ที่ถือกำเนิดขึ้นในออสเตรเลีย และนำพาประเทศไปสู่การใช้พลังงานทางเลือกรูปแบบใหม่ที่มีความน่าเชื่อถือสูง สามารถตอบสนองความต้องการไฟฟ้าในระบบ เราทำงานกับ Vestas ได้อย่างเข้าขา ผลิตภัณฑ์และศักยภาพด้านบริการของบริษัทมีประโยชน์มากต่อการจัดการการเชื่อมต่อโครงข่ายไฟฟ้าและการปฏิบัติตามข้อกำหนดซึ่งเป็นเรื่องท้าทาย จนสามารถพัฒนาพลังงานที่มีต้นทุนถูกลง"

          การผสมผสานที่ยอดเยี่ยมระหว่างพลังงานลมและพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ ทำให้ Kennedy Phase I สามารถผลิตพลังงานไฟฟ้าที่เสถียรและตอบสนองความต้องการได้มากขึ้น และมีศักยภาพการผลิตที่สูงขึ้น ระบบการควบคุมของ Vestas จะเปิดทางให้พลังงานลมและพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์สามารถทำงานร่วมกันในรูปโรงไฟฟ้าแบบบูรณาการ และจะสอดคล้องกับข้อกำหนดด้านโครงข่ายไฟฟ้า

          จอห์นนี ทอมเซน รองประธานอาวุโสการบริหารจัดการผลิตภัณฑ์ของ Vestas เปิดเผยว่า "เรารู้สึกเป็นเกียรติ์อย่างมากที่มีโอกาสร่วมมือกับ Windlab ในโครงการนี้ ซึ่งกรุยทางให้เราก้าวสู่การเป็นผู้นำด้านโซลูชั่นพลังงานยั่งยืน ทั้งยังถือเป็นประจักษ์พยานว่าเรามอบโซลูชั่นที่ทำให้พลังงานทางเลือกมีต้นทุนที่ต่ำลงและสอดคล้องตามข้อกำหนดด้านโครงข่ายไฟฟ้า นอกจากนี้ ด้วยประสบการณ์นาน 35 ปีในการปฏิบัติตามข้อกำหนดด้านโครงข่ายไฟฟ้าอันซับซ้อนและการพัฒนาระบบควบคุมโรงไฟฟ้าขั้นสูงของ Vestas จึงมีรากฐานในการเป็นผู้นำด้านโซลูชั่นไฮบริดด้วย"

          ไคลฟ์ เทอร์ตัน ประธาน Vestas Asia Pacific กล่าวว่า "โซลูชั่นที่เป็นการจัดเก็บ แบบผสมผสานพลังงานลมและแสงอาทิตย์ได้มอบศักยภาพอันยิ่งใหญ่ให้กับออสเตรเลีย โครงการ Kennedy Phase I นี้มีความสามารถในการดึงพลังงานทดแทนที่มีอยู่มากมายในออสเตรเลียมาใช้ อีกทั้งยังเป็นการก้าวกระโดดที่ยิ่งใหญ่ของประเทศในการใช้ประโยชน์จากทรัพยากรเหล่านั้น ในขณะเดียวกันก็ทำให้เกิดความมั่นใจว่าจะมีแหล่งจ่ายไฟที่มีความมั่นคงและเชื่อถือได้ ซึ่ง Kennedy ได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงความสามารถในการให้บริการโซลูชั่นของ Vestas และพันธมิตรอย่าง Windlab

          นอกจากนี้ Vestas ยังมีสัญญาการบริการด้านการจัดการพลังงานหรือ Active Output Management 4000 (AOM4000) ระยะเวลา 15 ปี ซึ่งรวมถึงแพคเกจบริการกังหันลมแบบเต็มรูปแบบ ที่ครอบคลุมการดูแลรักษาแผงโซลาร์เซลล์, การกักเก็บพลังงาน และระบบไฟฟ้าตามกำหนดระยะเวลาอยู่อีกด้วย

          Vestas และ Quanta Services จะร่วมกันดำเนินการด้านวิศวกรรม, การจัดซื้อจัดจ้าง, และการก่อสร้างโครงการดังกล่าว ซึ่งคาดว่าจะเริ่มดำเนินงานได้ในช่วงปลายปี 2561

          โครงการนี้ถูกวางไว้ให้เป็นเฟสแรกของสวนพลังงาน  Kennedy Energy Park ขนาด 1,200 MW ของ Windlab ซึ่งจะมอบผลประโยชน์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญในด้านการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกและการผลิตพลังงานอย่างยั่งยืนให้กับรัฐควีนส์แลนด์และประเทศออสเตรเลีย

ธุรกิจเกื้อกูลสังคมช่วยชุมชนรายได้น้อยเข้าถึงบริการด้านสุขภาพมากขึ้น

          ธุรกิจเกื้อกูลสังคม หรือ ธุรกิจแบบมีส่วนร่วม (Inclusive Business - IB) ในภาคสาธารณสุข ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนโดยคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุนแห่งฟิลิปปินส์ กำลังช่วยให้ชุมชนรายได้น้อยเข้าถึงบริการด้านสุขภาพมากขึ้น ความเคลื่อนไหวนี้เป็นการปฏิบัติตามวาระการพัฒนาด้านสาธารณสุขของประชาคมอาเซียน ซึ่งให้ความสำคัญกับการที่ประชาชนเข้าถึงบริการสาธารณสุขที่มีคุณภาพได้อย่างทั่วถึง ช่วยป้องกันความเสี่ยงทางการเงิน และส่งเสริมการพัฒนารอบด้านอย่างยั่งยืน

          โมเดลธุรกิจเกื้อกูลสังคมขยายขอบเขตการเข้าถึงสินค้าและบริการที่เกี่ยวข้อง ตลอดจนโอกาสที่จะมีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น ด้วยการเปิดทางให้ชุมชนรายได้น้อยได้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในธุรกิจ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นในฐานะคู่ค้า ผู้จัดหาสินค้า ผู้กระจายสินค้า ลูกค้า หรือลูกจ้าง สำหรับในภาคสาธารณสุขนั้น โมเดลธุรกิจเกื้อกูลสังคมมีบทบาทสำคัญต่อชุมชนที่ซึ่งผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการด้านการดูแลสุขภาพเข้าไม่ถึง หรือไม่ได้รับการให้ความสำคัญเท่าที่ควร

          Generika Drugstore จากฟิลิปปินส์ ซึ่งมีธุรกิจหลักคือการจำหน่ายยาสามัญนั้น ได้บุกเบิกโมเดลธุรกิจของตนเอง ซึ่งถือเป็นการพลิกโฉมอุตสาหกรรมค้าปลีกยา และกระตุ้นให้เกิดความต้องการยาคุณภาพราคาถูกมากขึ้น Generika มีร้านยา 690 แห่ง กระจายอยู่ตามเทศบาลกว่า 70 แห่งทั่วประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ ซึ่ง 68% อยู่ในเขตชนบท ที่ซึ่งชาวบ้านให้ความสำคัญกับปัจจัยพื้นฐานอื่นๆ มากกว่าบริการด้านสุขภาพ

          ถึงแม้ว่าในระยะเริ่มแรก Generika มีกลุ่มเป้าหมายอยู่ที่ชุมชนรายได้น้อย แต่ปรากฏว่า ชนชั้นกลางก็มีความต้องการยาสามัญเช่นกัน เนื่องจากราคาที่เอื้อมถึงและประสิทธิผล ส่งผลให้ในขณะนี้ Generika มีการดำเนินการทางธุรกิจมากกว่า 24 ล้านรายการต่อปี

          นอกจากการเข้าถึงยาราคาถูกแล้ว ความครอบคลุมของการได้รับวัคซีนพื้นฐานก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งความท้าทายสำหรับชาวฟิลิปปินส์ในกลุ่มชนชั้นกลางและชนชั้นล่าง Glovax เล็งเห็นถึงปัญหานี้ จึงได้ซื้อวัคซีนจากบริษัทยาต่างประเทศและกระจายวัคซีนเหล่านี้ไปยังคลินิกมากกว่า 3,000 แห่งในชุมชนต่างๆ สำหรับในฟิลิปปินส์มีเพียงชนชั้นสูงเท่านั้นที่จะได้รับวัคซีนพื้นฐาน เพราะการฉีดวัคซีนในเด็กแรกเกิดให้ครบคอร์สอาจคิดเป็นค่าใช้จ่ายถึง 55% ของรายได้ต่อปีของครอบครัวที่มีรายได้น้อยเลยทีเดียว ซึ่งการที่ไม่ได้รับการฉีดวัคซีนป้องกัน อาจทำให้คนกลุ่มนี้เสี่ยงต่อโรคร้ายแรงถึงชีวิต อาทิ โรคติดเชื้อทางเดินหายใจเฉียบพลัน (ARI) โรคคอตีบ โรคปอดอักเสบ โรคพิษสุนัขบ้า และวัณโรค เป็นต้น

          ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น Glovax นำเสนอทางเลือกในการผ่อนชำระเป็นงวดๆ เพื่อให้ชาวฟิลิปปินส์มีกำลังจ่ายค่าวัคซีนกันได้มากขึ้น โดยจนถึงปัจจุบัน Glovax ลดราคาวัคซีนจากบริษัทยาต่างชาติลงไปได้ถึง 75% ขายวัคซีนได้มากกว่า 5 ล้านโดส และป้องกันประชาชน 2 ล้านคนจากโรคร้ายแรงถึงชีวิต

          "การใช้โมเดลธุรกิจเกื้อกูลสังคมเป็นโอกาสที่บริษัทต่างๆ ในภาคสาธารณสุขควรคว้าไว้ เนื่องจากโมเดลนี้สามารถนำไปสู่การเติบโตในระยะยาว ธุรกิจเกื้อกูลสังคมสามารถปฏิรูปภาคบริการสุขภาพและตอบสนองต่อประชากรในวงกว้างขึ้น ก่อให้เกิดตลาดที่เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการกระตุ้นการเติบโตของธุรกิจและสร้างแรงกระเพื่อมทางสังคมในระดับที่กว้างขึ้น" เซเฟริโน เอส. โรดอลโฟ ปลัดกระทรวงการค้าฟิลิปปินส์ และหัวหน้าผู้จัดการคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน กล่าว

มหกรรม IOT&CC Expo เมืองหุ้ยโจวเตรียมเปิดฉากวันที่ 1 พ.ย. โชว์เทคโนโลยีล้ำสมัยมุ่งเชื่อมต่อจีน-ยุโรป

          มหกรรม China Huizhou Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing Technology Application Expo (IOT&CC Expo) ครั้งที่ 6 เตรียมเปิดฉากวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายนนี้ ณ ศูนย์การประชุมและนิทรรศการเมืองหุ้ยโจว ในมณฑลกวางตุ้ง ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางด้านการผลิตและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีไฮเทคของจีน

          มหกรรมครั้งนี้จะครอบคลุมผลิตภัณฑ์หลากหลายประเภท ไม่ว่าจะเป็นอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ยานยนต์ รถยนต์เชื่อมต่อ แอป โปรแกรมเมืองอัจฉริยะ บริการแอปพลิเคชั่นบิ๊กดาต้า จอแสดงผลความละเอียด 4K และอื่นๆ พร้อมรวบรวมบรรดาบริษัทและสถาบันวิจัยรวมกันทั้งสิ้น 466 แห่ง ทั้งแบรนด์เกิดใหม่และแบรนด์ดัง อาทิ Cisco, SAP, Huawei, Samsung, OPPO, VIVO, ofo และ Mobike

Berkeley Research Group แต่งตั้งผู้อำนวยการประจำปักกิ่ง เสริมแกร่งทีมงานเอเชียแปซิฟิก

Berkeley Research Group บริษัทที่ปรึกษาด้านกลยุทธ์ระดับโลก ประกาศแต่งตั้ง  Steven Shi ให้ดำรงตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการประจำกรุงปักกิ่ง โดยเขาจะรับผิดชอบดูแลการดำเนินงานของ BRG ในจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่ Shi มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านงานวิจัยอันซับซ้อนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการสอบทานธุรกิจและตรวจสอบองค์กร รวมถึงการตรวจสอบปัญหาฉ้อฉลและต่อต้านการทุจริต (กฎหมายต่อต้านการคอร์รัปชั่นข้ามชาติ - FCPA) ตลอดจนการให้คำปรึกษาด้านความเสี่ยงอื่นๆ

Berkeley Research Group Expands Asia Pacific Team with Beijing Director

          Global strategic advisory and expert consulting firm Berkeley Research Group announced today that  Steven Shi has joined as a Director, based in Beijing, where he will head BRG's mainland China operations. He specializes in conducting complex research assignments involving due diligence, corporate investigations including fraud and anti-corruption (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) investigations and other risk consulting.

          Shi has been involved extensively in assignments for foreign multinationals operating in mainland China and has supported Chinese firms with their overseas investments. เมืองจิงเหมิน มณฑลหูเป่ย ขานรับการลงทุนคึกคัก หลังดำเนินนโยบายสนับสนุน พร้อมนำเสนอบริการคุณภาพ

          เพื่อดึงดูดการลงทุนและส่งเสริมการยกระดับอุตสาหกรรม รัฐบาลเมืองจิงเหมิน มณฑลหูเป่ย ทางตอนกลางของประเทศจีน จึงได้นำนโยบายและบริการรูปแบบใหม่ๆ มาใช้อย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของเมือง ซึ่งปรากฏว่าบรรลุผลสำเร็จแล้วในหลายด้าน

          เนื่องด้วยการคมนาคมที่ยังไม่พัฒนาและการขาดแคลนทรัพยากร จึงทำให้การพัฒนาเมืองนี้ต้องพึ่งพาอุตสาหกรรมเคมีภัณฑ์และเกษตรกรรมอย่างมาก โดยตลอดระยะเวลาสองปีที่ผ่านมา รัฐบาลของเมืองจิงเหมินได้มีความพยายามอย่างเป็นรูปธรรมในการปรับปรุงขั้นตอนต่างๆ เพื่อให้การสนับสนุนบริษัทที่ทำธุรกิจในเมือง

          โดยผู้นำรัฐบาลเมืองจิงเหมินได้พยายามอย่างเต็มที่เพื่อดึงดูดการลงทุน และได้มีการออกแบบการบริการให้เหมาะสมกับโครงการแต่ละโครงการโดยเฉพาะ

          ซู เสี่ยวหัว จากรัฐบาลเมืองจิงเหมิน เปิดเผยว่า โครงการใหญ่จำนวน 129 โครงการของจิงเหมินล้วนมีเลขาธิการพิเศษคอยติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิดเพื่อจัดการปัญหาที่คาดไม่ถึง และเพื่อทำให้แน่ใจว่าทุกอย่างจะเป็นไปตามกำหนดเวลา

          "บริการถือเป็นหัวใจสำคัญที่รักษาธุรกิจและการลงทุนเอาไว้" หลิน ชางโจว หัวหน้าพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์ประจำเมืองจงเซียง ซึ่งอยู่ภายใต้การบริหารของเมืองจิงเหมิน เปิดเผย

          ในปีที่แล้ว เมืองจิงเหมินเดินหน้าโครงการสินทรัพย์หนักรวม 62 โครงการด้วยสินเชื่อที่ได้รับการอนุมัติจากธนาคาร 1.8 หมื่นล้านหยวน รวมทั้งสร้างโรงงานและโครงสร้างบริการสาธารณะรวมเนื้อที่กว่า 3 ล้านตารางเมตร

          นิคมการผลิตอุปกรณ์ขนาด 10 ตารางกิโลเมตรได้ถูกสร้างขึ้นด้วยความช่วยเหลือจากบริษัทการลงทุนที่รัฐบาลสนับสนุน เพื่อนำเสนอโรงงานแบบสั่งทำและแพคเกจอุปกรณ์ให้แก่นักลงทุน

Favorable Policies, Quality Services Boost Investment to Central Chinese City

          To solicit investment and promote industrial upgrading, the government of Jingmen City in central China's Hubei Province has introduced a series of supportive policies and services in the city's economic development, and gained some achievements.

          From January to August, the city landed 500 projects of over 100 million yuan, with a total investment volume exceeding 200 billion yuan.           "The new policies are highly practical," said Li Qiang, president of Hongxin Entrepreneur Incubator Investment Group.

          Official data showed that the city has canceled 17 charging items since last year and saved enterprises 2 billion yuan of cost.

          On the other hand, the city government has also established offices to offer targeted services for business newcomers and boost administrative efficiency. Through the establishment of standardization, the government was able to cancel 39 approval processes and shorten the waiting time by 30 percent. A total of 340 items involving 33 government offices have been integrated to offer a more convenient experience for companies setting up new businesses in the city.

          Meanwhile, government leaders have been "all out" to solicit investment and design tailored services for every and each project.

          Innovative methods have been applied by the city government to improve its investment attractiveness. The heavy-asset package was one of them.

          Based on the government-backed investment and financing platform, the city forged in-depth cooperation with industrial giants. The government secured medium and long-term loans from financial institutions to build heavy assets, so that incoming companies can bring their "light-asset" to begin production within a short period.

          Zhang Yitao, mayor of Jingmen, said heavy-asset building greatly improved the city's attractiveness and competitiveness in persuading new companies to base their industries here.

          Last year, the city implemented 62 heavy-asset projects, with approved bank loans of 18 billion yuan, and built over 3 million square meters of factories and public service platforms.

          A 10-square-km equipment manufacturing park was built thanks to a government-backed investment company to offer tailored factories and equipment packages for investors.

          Jinlin machinery manufacturing company originally planned to invest 10 million yuan to purchase land and build factories. Thanks to the heavy-asset project, the company rented 10,000 square meters of factories from the government and began manufacturing in just 45 days.

          From 2015, the city government decided to focus on the development of equipment manufacturing, new energy and materials, agricultural deep-processing, electronic information, renewable resources utilization and environmental protection.

          In addition to simply introducing companies, the government paid more attention to building an industry that included an overall plan, a public service platform, a professional investment solicitation team, an industrial investment company and a fund.

GFSI Launches its Global Markets Awards 2018; Celebrates Successes in Food Safety Capability Building

          The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) is pleased to announce the launch of its Global Markets Awards 2018. For this second edition, the Awards will recognise companies from across the globe that have leveraged GFSI's Global Markets Programme in an exemplary way on their journey towards a world-class food safety system. Award recipients will be honoured on stage at GFSI's  Global Food Safety Conference and benefit from travel and attendance for the full conference and Discovery Tours , taking place in Tokyo, Japan from 5th to 8th March 2018.

          The GFSI Global Markets Awards are a unique opportunity to highlight the efforts of food operations to scale up their capabilities to produce safe food, in line with the GFSI vision of safe food for consumers everywhere .

ABC Global Alliance ออกกฎบัตรโรคมะเร็งเต้านมระยะลุกลามฉบับใหม่ มุ่งเปลี่ยนอนาคตผู้ป่วยทั่วโลก

          กำหนดเป้าหมาย 10 ประการเพื่อเปลี่ยนแปลงอนาคตของผู้ป่วยโรคมะเร็งเต้านมระยะลุกลามภายในปี 2568

          สมาพันธ์โรคมะเร็งเต้านมระยะลุกลามสากล (ABC Global Alliance) ออกกฎบัตร ABC Global Charter ฉบับใหม่ ซึ่งตั้งเป้าหมายชัดเจน 10 ประการเพื่อยกระดับความก้าวหน้าในการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วย รวมถึงเพิ่มอัตราการรอดชีวิตของผู้ป่วยทั่วโลกภายในปี 2568 โดยกฎบัตรดังกล่าวจะอุดช่องโหว่ในการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคมะเร็งเต้านมระยะลุกลามอย่างเร่งด่วน อันจะนำไปสู่คุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นและอายุขัยที่ยืนยาวขึ้นในท้ายที่สุด ทั้งนี้ ABC Global Alliance ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก European School of Oncology และถือกำเนิดขึ้นโดยความร่วมมือของหลายฝ่ายในปี 2559 จะผลักดันกฎบัตร ABC Global Charter เพื่อสนับสนุนชุมชนโรคมะเร็งเต้านม ผู้กำหนดนโยบาย และสาธารณชนทั่วโลก ให้รวมพลังกันเปลี่ยนแปลงอนาคตของผู้ป่วยโรคมะเร็งเต้านมระยะลุกลาม

Launch of New Advanced Breast Cancer (ABC) Global Charter

          A multi-stakeholder initiative setting out 10 goals to change the future of advanced breast cancer by 2025

          The Advanced Breast Cancer (ABC) Global Alliance has launched the ABC Global Charter, a bold new initiative setting out 10 clear goals to drive global improvements in ABC care and survival by 2025. The ABC Global Charter addresses the most urgent and actionable gaps in the treatment and care of patients with ABC to ultimately improve and extend their lives. The ABC Global Alliance, a European School of Oncology backed, multi-stakeholder platform initiated in 2016, will push forward the ABC Global Charter encouraging the worldwide breast cancer community, policy makers and the public to unite to help change the future of ABC patients.

         

          Much progress has been made in the diagnosis, management and outcomes of early breast cancer, however major gaps still exist in the treatment and management of ABC and median survival has remained stubbornly stuck at two to three years after diagnosis, with 50% of cases and 58% of deaths occurring in less developed countries.

          "The care of ABC has lagged behind that of early breast cancer with too many people still dying too early and change is urgently needed", comments Fatima Cardoso, director of the Breast Unit, Champalimaud Clinical Centre, Lisbon, Portugal and Chair of the ABC Global Alliance. "The ABC Global Charter is an ambitious charter for change. Our goal is to unite the ABC community to work together towards common, achievable goals at international and local levels."

          The Charter centres on 10 Actions for Change addressing gaps in ABC research, ABC patient care and ABC in society as identified by the Global Status of Advanced/Metastatic Breast Cancer: 2005-2015 Decade Report which led to the preliminary mBC Vision 2025 'Call-to-Action'. 

          The 10 Actions for Change:

          1. Double median overall survival for patients with ABC to at least 4 years by 2025
          2. Improve quality of life for ABC patients in clinical practice
          3. Improve availability of robust epidemiology and outcomes data for ABC
          4. Increase availability and access to multidisciplinary care, including palliative, supportive, and psychosocial assistance for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure patients are receiving the best treatment experience
          5. Strive for all patients with ABC to have financial support for treatment, care and assistance if unable to work
          6. Offer communication skills training to all healthcare providers
          7. Provide accurate and up-to-date ABC-specific information tools to all patients who want them
          8. Increase public understanding of ABC
          9. Improve access to non-clinical supportive services for ABC
          10. Protect workforce rights for patients with ABC

          The Actions for Change will be discussed in detail at the first ABC Global Alliance meeting on 4-5 November 2017 in Lisbon which follows the ABC4 Conference.

          เอ็นเนอร์เรย์ ยูเอซีเดินหน้าสร้างสถานีไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ ให้กับบริษัท ค้าเหล็กไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) ในจังหวัดอยุธยา

          เอ็นเนอร์เรย์ ยูเอซี (ประเทศไทย) (UAC.SET) เตรียมสร้างระบบพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ (PV) ที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งในประเทศไทย ด้วยกำลังการผลิต 2.5 MWp ซึ่งจะสามารถรองรับความต้องการพลังงานของคนไทย 1,400 ครัวเรือนต่อปี และช่วยลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์สู่ชั้นบรรยากาศปริมาณ 1,800 ตัน อีกทั้งสามารถผลิตพลังงานสะอาดคิดเป็น 3,500,000 kWh/ปี

         

          เอ็นเนอร์เรย์ ยูเอซีจะสร้างระบบ PV ให้กับบริษัท ค้าเหล็กไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) ในจังหวัดอยุธยา (ไม่ไกลจากกรุงเทพฯ) ประกอบด้วยโมดูลเซลล์แสงอาทิตย์จำนวน 7,575 เซลล์ที่ติดตั้งบนหลังคาโลหะ 4 แผง ครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 35,500 ตร.ม. โดยเอ็นเนอร์เรย์ ยูเอซีจะคอยดูแลรักษาแผงโซลาร์เซลล์ดังกล่าวให้ด้วย

          แรงจูงใจจากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน (BOI) มาจากการยกเว้นภาษีเงินได้นิติบุคคล 3 ปี ครอบคลุมมูลค่าการลงทุน 50% ซึ่งหมายความว่า ระยะเวลาในการคืนทุนจะลดเหลือเพียง 3 ปีด้วยอัตราผลตอบแทนภายใน (Internal Rate of Return) ที่ 24.7% ซึ่งถือเป็นอัตราที่สูงมากสำหรับโครงการด้านพลังงาน

The Solar Epc Enerray UAC Thailand set to Build one of the Biggest Roof-top Photovoltaic Systems in Thailand

          The solar power station will be built for the Thai Metal Trade Public Company Ltd in the Ayutthaya province.

          Enerray-UAC Thailand (UAC.SET) will be building one of the largest roof-top photovoltaic systems in Thailand, with a total capacity of 2.5 MWp, enough to meet the annual energy needs of 1,400 Thai households and avoiding the emission of around 1,800 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere, providing an estimated annual output of 3,500,000 kWh of clean energy.

ผลวิจัยเผยการใช้ยาแอสไพรินในระยะยาวช่วยลดการเกิดมะเร็งในระบบทางเดินอาหารได้สูงสุด 47%

          ผลวิจัยใหม่ล่าสุดที่ได้รับการเปิดเผยในการประชุม UEG Week ครั้งที่ 25 แสดงให้เห็นว่า การใช้ยาแอสไพรินในระยะยาวสามารถลดการเกิดมะเร็งในระบบทางเดินอาหารได้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ

          คณะนักวิจัยได้ทำการศึกษาผู้ป่วยกว่า 600,000 คน โดยเปรียบเทียบกลุ่มผู้ป่วยที่แพทย์สั่งให้กินยาแอสไพรินในระยะยาว (อย่างน้อย 6 เดือน, ค่าเฉลี่ย 7.7 ปี) กับกลุ่มที่ไม่ได้ใช้ยาแอสไพริน เพื่อประเมินการเกิดโรคมะเร็งชนิดต่างๆ ซึ่งผลปรากฏว่า กลุ่มที่ใช้ยาแอสไพรินมีอัตราการเกิดมะเร็งตับและมะเร็งหลอดอาหารลดลง 47%, การเกิดมะเร็งกระเพาะอาหารลดลง 38%, การเกิดมะเร็งตับอ่อนลดลง 34% และการเกิดมะเร็งลำไส้ลดลง 24%

          มะเร็งในระบบทางเดินอาหารคิดเป็นสัดส่วนเกือบ 1 ใน 4 ของมะเร็งทั้งหมดที่เกิดขึ้นในยุโรป โดยมะเร็งลำไส้ มะเร็งกระเพาะอาหาร และมะเร็งตับอ่อน ติดท็อป 5 มะเร็งที่คร่าชีวิตผู้ป่วยมากที่สุดในยุโรป ขณะที่มะเร็งในระบบทางเดินอาหารทั้งหมดคร่าชีวิตผู้ป่วยคิดเป็นสัดส่วนถึง 30.1%

          แอสไพรินถูกนำไปใช้ทั่วโลกเพื่อรักษาอาการต่างๆ ตั้งแต่บรรเทาอาการปวดในระยะสั้นไปจนถึงระยะยาว แม้วงการแพทย์ยังคงถกเถียงกันในเรื่องของการใช้ยาแอสไพริน ทว่าผลวิจัยเมื่อไม่นานมานี้บ่งชี้ว่า ผู้ป่วยที่หยุดใช้ยาแอสไพรินมีแนวโน้มเกิดโรคหัวใจและหลอดเลือด เช่น โรคหลอดเลือดสมองหรือภาวะหัวใจวาย มากกว่าผู้ป่วยที่กินยาแอสไพรินต่อเนื่องมากถึง 37%

          นอกจากนี้ ผลของการใช้ยาแอสไพรินในระยะยาวที่มีต่อการเกิดโรคมะเร็งยังแสดงให้เห็นนอกระบบทางเดินอาหารเช่นกัน โดยพบว่าอัตราการเกิดมะเร็งบางชนิดลดลงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (มะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาว มะเร็งปอด และมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมาก) แต่มะเร็งบางชนิดก็ไม่มีผล (มะเร็งทรวงอก มะเร็งกระเพาะปัสสาวะ มะเร็งไต และมัลติเพิล มัยอิโลมา)

Long-term Aspirin use Reduces the Incidence of Digestive Cancers by up to 47%, Study Presented at UEG Week Reveals

          The long-term use of aspirin has been shown to significantly reduce the incidence of digestive cancers, new research presented today at the 25th UEG Week have found.

          In a study involving over 600,000 people, researchers compared patients who were prescribed aspirin over a long period (for at least six months, average duration of aspirin prescribed was 7.7 years) with non-aspirin users and assessed the incidences of a number of cancers. Those prescribed with aspirin showed a 47% reduction in liver and oesophageal cancer incidence, a 38% reduction in gastric cancer incidence, a 34% reduction in pancreatic cancer incidence and a 24% reduction in colorectal cancer incidence.

          Digestive cancers account for almost a quarter of cancer cases in Europe. Colorectal, gastric and pancreatic cancer are within the top five cancer killers throughout the continent, with digestive cancers representing 30.1% of cancer deaths.

          Aspirin is used across the globe to treat a number of health conditions, ranging from short-term pain relief to long-term prescriptions. Whilst the use of aspirin is subject to continued debate within the medical community, a recent study found that patients who stopped taking aspirin were 37% more likely to have an adverse cardiovascular event, such as a heart attack or stroke, than those who continued with their prescription.

          The effect of long-term use of aspirin on cancer incidence was also examined for cancers outside of the digestive system. Here, a significant reduction was shown for some (leukaemia, lung and prostate) but not all (breast, bladder, kidney and multiple myeloma) cancers.

          Lead researcher, Professor Kelvin Tsoi from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, presented the study today at the 25th UEG Week in Barcelona. "The findings demonstrate that the long-term use of aspirin can reduce the risk of developing many major cancers," commented Professor Tsoi. "What should be noted is the significance of the results for cancers within the digestive tract, where the reductions in cancer incidence were all very substantial, especially for liver and oesophageal cancer."

          Award-winning plantation management company Asia Plantation Capital held its 2017 Annual General Meeting on Saturday 21 October 2017, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

          The APC Group's Chief Executive Officer, Barry Rawlinson, opened the AGM by speaking to the crowd of over 400 Thailand-based plantation owners and stakeholders, about the ongoing effects of climate change in the agriculture sector. Mr Rawlinson also expressed his sincere gratitude to all Asia Plantation Capital staff who have worked tirelessly in addressing and mitigating the negative effects of climate change within the company's agricultural practices and production.

          Asia Plantation Capital continues to remain steadfast in its ethos of 'holistic sustainability'. Throughout 2017, the company has embraced programmes and directives that transcend mere Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, ensuring that equal care, consideration and encouragement are given to all members of staff -- from top and middle management all the way through to plantation workers and their families.

          Jinda Tonkhambai, Asia Plantation Capital Thailand's Operations Director, outlined the details of Asia Plantation Capital's ongoing CSR activities, as well as those that have been carried out over the last year, from which many local communities have benefited.

          In light of the company's ongoing expansion and the additional plantations that are needed to meet growing demand for its products, Phanitta Matwangsaeng, from General Administration, updated attendees on the processes and due diligence carried out prior to the purchases of land. Technical details, such as the land designing process, plot diagrams, water systems, and tree management systems, were further explained by architect, Phoom Matwangsaeng.

          Steve Watts, Chief Executive Officer of Asia Plantation Capital Asia, spoke about the business operations of Asia Plantation Capital Berhad (APCB) -- the Malaysian arm of the APC Group -- with emphasis placed on the major joint ventures that have been entered into, as well as the breakthroughs that were made in research and development. The factory -- the largest agarwood distillery in Southeast Asia -- now sees some new manufacturing processes, as well as an expanded nursery facility and laboratory with state of the art equipment to monitor oil quality and production methods. Mr Watts also announced that APCB is now in the process of obtaining certification for Good Manufacturing Practice and Halal certification.

          One of the most significant achievements for APCB has been the recent recognition and unconditional approval of its products by the Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), which is Malaysia's equivalent to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.

          Boonchuay Jomkhamsee -- Forestry Specialist, provided information on plantation management as well as APC's inoculation process.

          Dr Jeyakumar, who was recently appointed as Asia Plantation Capital's Head of Inoculation R&D, revealed links in the formation of agarwood at the molecular level and explained the significance of APC's inoculums. He also presented his ongoing research on Argininosuccinate Synthase 1 (ASS1) gene expression in Aquilaria plants, which is controlled by wound signal through the process of inoculation.

          Special Scientific Advisor and Associate professor, Dr Pakamas Chetpattanondh, from Thailand's Prince of Songkla University, delivered a presentation on the ways in which to produce Oud Oil, its applications, and the medicinal benefits and remarkable properties of Oud oil.

          The audience was also given updates on Fragrance Du Bois, by Clotilde Antoine, who is the Brand and Retail Manager. The luxury perfume brand scaled new heights this year with new partnerships and openings in Paris, Hong Kong, Milan, Marbella, Doha, and Zurich, as well as its very own European flagship boutique in Geneva.

          The relocation of Fragrance Du Bois's flagship boutique in Singapore to the busy shopping area around Orchard Road, was another exciting project that the brand embarked upon in 2017, and appears to have been an instant success with increased levels of brand awareness and revenue. Ms Antoine also mentioned the launch of Fragrance Du Bois's unique Pure Oud Atomiser, as well as providing Fragrance Du Bois's plans for the upcoming year, which includes the expansion of its boutique network in the Middle East (where at least two outlets will be opening in Dubai in the next few weeks), along with outlets in the USA and Portugal.

          Asia Plantation Capital also announced that it has entered into an exclusive supply agreement with dynamic, new skincare and accessories brand, Oud Essentials.

          Part of the Oud Essentials mantra is to 'change the face of skincare', and the inclusion of 100% pure, organic, sustainably sourced and ethically produced Oud in all of the company's products is set to be a 'gamechanger' in the ultra-competitive, multi-billion-dollar market.

          Oud Essentials will introduce the use of Oud oil in skincare - a world's first - through the creation of unique and innovative products. The agreement is said to be valued in the region of US$50 million over the next 10 years, with understanding between the two companies to supply valuable Oud oil, and other Asia Plantation Capital products sourced and manufactured from its sustainable agarwood plantations.

          At the AGM, the APC Group awarded two certificates to Africa Plantation Capital. One to its Chief Executive Officer, Konstantinos Kioleoglou, who received the 'Asia Plantation Capital Global Innovation Award 2017', and the other to Kelvin Kaloki Sila, Business Development Director, who garnered the 'Asia Plantation Capital Global Leadership Award 2017'.

          The AGM ended with a closing speech by APC Group CEO, Barry Rawlinson, who said, "2017 has been a good year for all of us at Asia Plantation Capital, as we have seen positive growth within the organisation. Despite the challenges we have faced, we have managed to ensure that performance, growth and momentum across all regions have been maintained."
