12-Month Below-the-Knee Data with MedAlliance's SELUTION SLR(TM) Presented as Late Breaking Trial at LINC

12-month results from the PRESTIGE* Below-the-Knee (BTK) study have been presented as a Late Breaking Trial at LINC 2021. The objective of this clinical investigation has been to evaluate safety and performance outcomes of SELUTION SLR(TM), MedAlliance's novel sirolimus-eluting balloon, for the treatment of long tibial occlusive lesions (TASC C & D) in patients with Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI).

The Primary Patency Rate was 78% and the rate of wound healing was 81%. Freedom from Target Lesion Revascularization (TLR) was exhibited by 93% of patients and 84% demonstrated Amputation Free Survival (AFS). All these figures have been sustained from the six-month data.

PRESTIGE is a prospective, single-center, physician-initiated clinical study, run at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) by Associate Professor Tze Tec Chong and Dr. Tjun Yip Tang, who are both Senior Consultants at the Hospital's Department of Vascular Surgery. Twenty-five patients were enrolled with an average age of 64. 88% had diabetes mellitus and 44% had end stage renal failure. No patients required bailout stenting. Clinical follow-up was at one, three, six and 12 months.

"We have observed minimal slow-flow phenomena and some cases of fast wound healing with this balloon. It is also easy to track and deliver. We are looking forward to gaining further clinical experience with this device," commented Prof. Chong.

CLI is a severe obstruction of the arteries which markedly reduces blood flow to the extremities. It can progress to the point of severe pain and skin ulcers or sores: CLI often leads to amputation.

Singapore has a high percentage of diabetics in its population and CLI therefore constitutes a major challenge among patients seen with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). SGH performs over 1,000 interventional procedures a year on patients suffering from CLI.

In the US, SELUTION SLR has received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Breakthrough Device Designation Status for a DEB in the treatment of peripheral below-the-knee lesions.

SELUTION SLR's technology involves unique MicroReservoirs made from biodegradable polymer intermixed with the anti-restenotic drug sirolimus. These MicroReservoirs provide controlled and sustained release of the drug. Extended release of sirolimus from stents has been proven highly efficacious in both coronary and peripheral vasculatures. Dr. Reddy's and GRA Announce Clinically Meaningful Data from Avigan Pivotal Studies

Sub-group analysis shows three-day earlier discharge from hospital in low-risk patients hospitalized with COVID-19

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. (BSE: 500124) (NSE: DRREDDY) (NYSE: RDY) (NSEIFSC: DRREDDY along with its subsidiaries together referred to as "Dr. Reddy's") and Global Response Aid FZCO (GRA) today announced results from an Avigan study on moderate-severe hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Kuwait.

A sub-group analysis of the low-risk (low NEWS Score at admission) study cohort (n=181) demonstrated a 3 day earlier discharge in Avigan group compared to placebo group (8 days vs 11 days; p=0.0063) for time to hospital discharge secondary endpoint. This endpoint was predefined and showed statistical significance in a large portion of subjects in this study. Time to hospital discharge is the best endpoint to determine if Avigan has a pragmatic effect on patients' duration of hospitalization, a factor that is relevant to global shortages in clinical resources and hospital beds induced by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The findings point favorably towards the hypothesis that an antiviral drug like Avigan (or similar oral or injectable RNA polymerases inhibitor) may be effective as part of early treatment initiation in COVID-19 patients.

As a result of the favorable sub-group data, which are supported by similar results in Japan-based clinical trials and real-world studies, Dr.Reddy's and Global Response Aid have agreed to expedite ongoing Phase 3 pivotal studies aimed at determining the efficacy of Avigan as an early treatment for COVID-19 patients with mild-to-moderate symptoms. Additional studies to evaluate the efficacy of Avigan as part of early treatment in COVID-19 patients have also been initiated, with the goal of alleviating symptoms and preventing disease progression before the infection requires hospitalization or other intensive interventions.

Other findings from the study of hospitalized patients with moderate-severe COVID 19 patients showed a one-day reduction in time to sustained hypoxia resolution for Avigan vs. placebo. Resolution occurred in seven days vs. eight days. However, the study did not achieve statistical significance thresholds, and was terminated. The full final data analysis of the 353 subjects who were part of the study of hospitalized patients will be available by end of February 2021.

The study of hospitalized patients was part of an overall clinical program for Avigan in Kuwait, which covered a spectrum of COVID-19 cases ranging from asymptomatic to severe, in both outpatient and in-patient settings.

ZIM Announces Pricing Of Initial Public Offering

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (the "Company"), a global container liner shipping company with over 75 years of experience, announced today the pricing of its initial public offering ("IPO") of 14,500,000 ordinary shares at a price of $15.00 per ordinary share.

จนถึงปัจจุบัน การดำเนินงานในภาคสาธารณะของกองทุนโอเปกได้ช่วยส่งเสริมการพัฒนาศักยภาพการผลิตไฟฟ้า 15 กิกะวัตต์ รวมถึงสนับสนุนการก่อสร้างและพัฒนาถนนและทางรถไฟความยาวรวม 11,360 กิโลเมตร และช่วยให้ 11.5 ล้านครัวเรือนเข้าถึงน้ำสะอาดและมีสุขอนามัยที่ดี ส่วนการดำเนินงานในภาคเอกชนและการดำเนินงานด้านการเงินซึ่งเริ่มขึ้นในปี 2541 และ 2549 นั้น ได้มีส่วนสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบธุรกิจ MSME กว่า 350,000 รายโดยตรง ทั้งยังช่วยเสริมสร้างความสามารถในการรองรับสินค้าของท่าเรือรวม 15 ล้านตันต่อปี และมีส่วนช่วยพัฒนาศักยภาพการผลิตไฟฟ้าจากพลังงานหมุนเวียน 750 เมกะวัตต์

Renewed Tantu and Wu-Ju Heroes Arrive in Shadow Arena

      Pearl Abyss announced today that the Heroes Tantu and Wu-Ju have returned to Shadow Arena with enhanced abilities. Players can now experience the renewed array of characteristics of these Heroes and fight against enemies with more control.  

Tantu is a Dealer with powerful and wide-ranged firing power who uses an Iron Buster as his weapon. Through renewal, two of his previous skills were removed, and the new skill called Overload was added. When using Overload, all bullets of the Iron Buster will be loaded and will not be consumed, allowing players to attack the opponents continuously. 

A Support Hero, Wu-ju summons a Hungry Black Spirit to drastically reduce the opponent's defense and increase the attack power of the allies. He can also detect enemies and avoid dangerous situations, helping his allies when it comes to fighting as a team. Due to his lack of HP and movement skills, players are highly encouraged to engage in battles with allies.  

Shadow Arena has been recently renewing Heroes to enhance their team strategy aspect. Renewed Heroes currently available are Venslar, Tantu, and Wu-Ju. More Hero renewals will take place and will be released one by one.

OPEC Fund marks 45 years of driving development, as member countries commit to further contribution

      The OPEC Fund for International Development (the OPEC Fund) marks its 45th anniversary today. Since inception, the multilateral development finance institution has approved more than US$25 billion in essential financing for 135 partner countries.  

Established in 1976 with a distinct mandate to drive development, strengthen communities and empower people, the OPEC Fund's member countries are:  Algeria, Ecuador, Gabon, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. While the organization works directly with partner countries, it also collaborates with other development finance institutions, regional development banks and the specialized agencies of the United Nations to maximize its development impact.

The 45th anniversary coincides with a demonstration of steadfast support from the organization's member countries. The OPEC Fund's Governing Board recently endorsed a second tranche of US$400 million to be contributed by member countries over the next four years. The Ministerial Council approved a US$1 billion Fourth Replenishment of the OPEC Fund's resources in 2001, of which this second tranche is a part. The first tranche of US$600 million was contributed over the past eight years.

Abdulwahab A Al-Bader, Chairman of the OPEC Fund's Governing Board, said: "The organization's development operations are self-sustaining, due to prudent management and a long history of positive operational income. This second tranche of contributions signifies member country determination to strengthen the OPEC Fund's ability to meet development challenges that have become even more urgent as a result of COVID-19."

OPEC Fund Ministerial Council Member and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan outlined the unique role the organization plays in international development: "The OPEC Fund has been playing a distinguished role in promoting global development, and it is the only globally mandated development institution that provides financing from member countries to non-member countries only. All developing countries, with the exception of its own members, are eligible for assistance."

The OPEC Fund's Ministerial Council member and Indonesia's Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said: "A new strategy introduced in 2019 and backed by member countries means that the organization has become more agile and can respond without delay to the changing needs of partner countries. We can now move quickly and effectively to ensure finance reaches those who need it most, as low-income communities around the world attempt to recover from the pandemic." 

OPEC Fund Director-General Dr Abdulhamid Alkhalifa said: "Thanks to the foresight and dedication of our member countries, the OPEC Fund continues to demonstrate solidarity and play its part in reducing global inequality. During the year ahead, we will focus on delivering in line with our clear and ambitious Strategic Framework to further expand our development impact and secure our future for many years to come." 

To date, the OPEC Fund's public sector operations have supported the development of 15 GW of electricity generation capacity; contributed to the construction and development of 11,360 km of roads and railways; and provided 11.5 million households with access to water and sanitation. Since launching in 1998 and 2006, the organization's private sector and trade finance operations have directly supported over 350,000 MSMEs; helped generate 15 million tonnes of annual handling capacity in ports; and contributed to the development of 750 MW of renewable capacity generation.
