The Post-'80s Become the Main Force of Outbound Tourism while UnionPay Improves Payment Experiences for In-depth Travels



          According to the data released by China's National Tourism Administration, 59.03 million Chinese people travelled overseas during the first half of 2016, growing by 4.3% year-on-year. As Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Holiday are approaching, China's outbound tourism is about to embrace another peak.

          The Annual Report on China's Outbound Tourism (2016), newly released by China Tourism Academy, shows that in 2015 most of the Chinese outbound tourists were the Post-'80s (25- to 34-year-olds). Young and middle-aged tourists are more willing to have independent and in-depth travels, and family tours and leisure tours are gaining popularity.
