ODEM, creator of the world's first On-Demand Education Marketplace, is joining forces with the InternetBar.org Institute and leveraging blockchain technology to provide displaced populations with digitized educational records. Collaboration with the IBO will use cutting-edge cryptographic technology and ODEM systems to deliver blockchain-backed education certificates through mobile devices.

ODEM's database-service tools aim to help those in stateless communities, such as doctors, nurses, and teachers, by providing verified evidence of their professional qualifications. Re-establishing professional credentials is a first step toward helping these communities to regain self sufficiency. According to the UNHCR, almost 70 million people around the world are displaced.1

By partnering with IBO and deploying a decentralized education (DApp), ODEM aims to fill gaps in educational qualifications that occur when people are displaced by war, famine, or other calamities. Providing continuity in credentials can reduce the need for professionals to repeat costly and time-consuming exams to work in their chosen fields.
The non-profit InternetBar.org Institute recognizes that access to technology and new forms of identity can help vulnerable populations to begin rebuilding lives and communities. Individuals become positive forces for change. The IBO will introduce displaced populations to ODEM's educational marketplace to establish verified credentials. Armed with their digitized educational history, each displaced person has the potential to lead their community in the direction of positive social change.
