Bridgestone joins hand with The Department of Land Transport organizing "Bridgestone Driving License Program", which is the training program for new driving license applicants" in 2024 and invites interested applicants who currently drive but do not yet possess a driving license for joining the training sessions, held on Saturdays and Sundays with free of charge and limited seats. Moreover, participants who successfully complete the training and E-examination will obtain a driving license right away. It is aimed to foster a safety mindset and raise the awareness to new drivers in terms of traffic rules, law and regulation, disciplines, and driving techniques among challenging scenarios. Ultimately, it contributes to a safe and sustainable driving culture.
Bridgestone is committed to giving back to Thai society by mitigating road accidents in Thailand for over 10 consecutive years since the start of the program from 2005 regarding the increasing rate of road usages leading to accidents, which one of the key factors is due to the lack of road safety awareness of road users. In 2024, Bridgestone together with The Department of Land Transport organize a training program for new driving license applicants with 3 application rounds at The Department of Land Transport: 1st round (batch no.284) on June 15-16, 2024, 2nd round (batch no. 385) on September 14-15, 2024, 3rd round (batch no.386) on November 9-10, 2024. Each training round will take 2 days for theoretical sessions and E-examinations on Saturday (driving discipline and safe driving techniques) and practical sessions on Sunday.
For interested applicants must be 18 years old or over with free of charge, are able to follow the program details via The Department of Land Transport, Chatuchak District at tel. 02-271-8426 or Corporate Communications and Branding Department, Bridgestone Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., at tel. 02-636-1505-32 ext. 3275, 2387 or via https://www.bridgestone.co.th/th/why-bridgestone/road-safety/driving-license-passenger. Applicants are required to submit the application forms only at The Department of Land Transport, Chatuchak District at building 4, on 2nd floor during operating times: Monday to Friday from 8.30-16.30 hrs.
