Jungheinrich and Heli Establish Joint Venture for Material Handling Equipment Rentals in China

          - Joint venture exclusively responsible for Jungheinrich's and Heli's material handling equipment rental business on the Chinese market  
          - Both partners own 50 per cent of the joint venture
          - Jungheinrich's long standing global expertise in the rental business, Heli's densely spun network and the two partners' complete product portfolio make the joint venture the largest material handling equipment rental business in China  

          Jungheinrich AG and Anhui Heli Co. Ltd. (Heli) are establishing a joint venture for material handling equipment rentals on the Chinese market. Jungheinrich and Heli will each hold a 50 per cent stake in the joint venture. The registered capital amounts to 200 million RMB. The company will be headquartered in Shanghai. Operations are scheduled to begin in the middle of 2016. The establishment of the Joint Venture is still subject to the customary approvals.

          The joint venture will create the largest material handling equipment rental company on the Chinese market. As one of the world's leading intralogistic solution providers, Jungheinrich possesses long-standing global expertise in the rental business. Heli, China's biggest material handling equipment supplier, owns the most expansive sales and service network in the country. The combination of the two partners creates a portfolio unrivaled by any other rental company. Paired with Heli's expansive sales network, we will create the largest rental company on the Chinese market as a result of the joint venture."

          The joint venture encompasses Jungheinrich's and Heli's entire product portfolios and will be exclusively responsible for material handling equipment rentals in China going forward. The portfolio of the two partners will turn the joint venture into a full liner offering everything from simple hand pallet trucks to heavy-duty IC engine-powered counterbalanced trucks. The expansive network with nationwide coverage in China guarantees extremely short reaction times. Rental periods offered are flexible, ranging from one day to 60 months. Jungheinrich and NTP Forklifts Australia Forge Strategic Partnership

          - Jungheinrich acquires majority interest in NTP Forklifts Australia, one of the country's leading material flow engineering dealerships
          - Company founder Nick Perdelis remains important shareholder
          - NTP Forklifts Australia will continue to operate as an independent brand as part of the Jungheinrich Group

          Jungheinrich and NTP Forklifts Australia have forged a close, strategic partnership for the Australian market. To this end, Jungheinrich acquired a majority stake in NTP Forklifts Australia from the company's founders and owners Nick Perdelis and John Naffine. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. In Jungheinrich, NTP Forklifts Australia has found a strong industrial partner with which to promote and grow a dynamic and sustainable business well into the future. Nick Perdelis remains an important NTP shareholder and will be a member of a newly established Board of Directors of NTP, enabling him to continue being closely involved in the company's fortunes in the future as well.

          Since 2008, NTP Forklifts Australia has been the exclusive partner for Jungheinrich products in Australia, one of the largest material handling equipment markets in the Asia-Pacific region. By taking the majority stake, Jungheinrich is continuing to resolutely enlarge its global footprint in the direct sales business. "By leveraging from Jungheinrich's industrial management, we will expand NTP's business with Jungheinrich products in the Australian market significantly and continue to strengthen our position in the Asia-Pacific region," says Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Board of Management of Jungheinrich AG.

          Headquartered in Adelaide, NTP Forklifts Australia is represented with branch offices in all of Australia's major regions. Besides Jungheinrich, NTP sells Manitou, TCM, Kalmar and Taylor-Dunn branded products. Current business with these brands is not only to be continued under the new ownership structure, but to be further expanded.           NTP currently employs over 230 staff across six key locations. NTP Forklifts Australia's existing management shall remain in place headed by both Damien Garvey and Jason Perdelis, with Jungheinrich as majority shareholder. NTP Forklifts Australia will continue to operate as an independent brand as part of the Jungheinrich Group.
