Takata Airbag Special Master/Trustee Announces The Launch Of The Claim Process For Personal Injuries Or Wrongful Death

          The following statement is being issued by Professor Eric D. Green, Special Master for the Department of Justice's Takata Airbag Individual Restitution Fund and the Trustee of the Tort Compensation Trust Fund Created in the Takata Bankruptcy Cases.

          Takata Defective Airbag Claims

          Professor Eric D. Green, the Court-Appointed Special Master of the Department of Justice's $125 million Takata Individual Restitution Fund ("IRF") and the Court-Appointed Trustee of the Takata Airbag Tort Compensation Trust Fund ("TATCTF") created in the Takata bankruptcy case announced today that he has launched the compensation program for individuals who suffered personal injury or wrongful death caused by the rupture or aggressive deployment of a Takata phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate airbag inflator (a "Takata Airbag Inflator Defect").  The TATCTF has about $140 million.

          There are three types of claims that can be brought by individuals who suffered injury or wrongful death caused by a Takata Airbag Inflator Defect: (i) an "IRF Claim" for compensation from the IRF, the personal injury and wrongful death restitution fund overseen by the Special Master and established under the Restitution Order entered by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (the "District Court") on February 27, 2017 in connection with the Department of Justice's criminal case against Takata, U.S. v. Takata Corporation, Case No. 16-cr-20810 (E.D. Mich.); (ii) a "Trust Claim" against Takata, which must be resolved through the TATCTF, overseen by the Trustee and established in connection with Takata's Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization (the "Bankruptcy Plan") in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (the "Bankruptcy Court"), and (iii) a "POEM Claim" against a Participating Original Equipment Manufacturer (a "POEM;" presently the only POEM is Honda/Acura), which must be resolved pursuant to the Bankruptcy Plan through the TATCTF overseen by the Trustee. 

          Each of these three types of claims has its own eligibility requirements and each claim type covers only physical injuries and wrongful death resulting from a Takata Airbag Inflator Defect. Claims related to injuries or wrongful death caused by other airbag components -- such as airbag failure to deploy, spontaneous airbag deployment, crash injuries unrelated to the inflator, or economic losses unrelated to physical injuries or death -- are not covered by the three types of claims described above.

Fighting Fake News With Blockchain: New 'Eventum' Platform Detects Bogus Content in Minutes

การพัฒนาธุรกิจสารหล่อลื่นในตลาดต่างประเทศของ SINOPEC กำลังก้าวสู่การเดินทางบทใหม่

          เมื่อวันที่ 29 พฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา ได้มีการจัดประชุม SINOPEC Lubricants International Partner Conferece 2018 ขึ้นที่สิงคโปร์ ด้วยการอำนวยการจัดงานของ SINOPEC หนึ่งในบริษัทด้านพลังงานและเคมีภัณฑ์และที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก การประชุมดังกล่าวนับเป็นการประชุมครั้งที่ 2 ของบริษัทที่ถูกจัดขึ้นในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิก ซึ่งที่ประชุมได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงสถานะการพัฒนาธุรกิจด้านสารหล่อลื่นของ SINOPEC ในตลาดต่างประเทศตลอดระยะเวลาไม่กี่ปีมานี้ โดยมีพันธมิตรกว่า 120 รายจากกว่า 20 ประเทศและภูมิภาคในเอเชียแปซิฟิกมาเข้าร่วมการประชุม

HT-SAAE Showcases Half-cut PERC Technology at SNEC

           Bringing 310W+ Modules to Wider Market

          The P-type half-cut PERC module features the company's leading half-cut cell technology, which comes out with a wide array of advantages. First, cutting the PERC cell in half reduces half of the electrical current in the main grid, makes the current electronic loss reduced to 25% of the previous, lowering the energy loss and bringing a 3% or more increase in output wattage for the module. The product line boasts excellent performance in reducing thermal resistance, good heat resistance with largely reduced instances of micro cracks and hot spot effects, increasing conversion efficiency.

GCL SI Unveils New High-efficiency Modules Featuring MBB Technology at SNEC PV Power Expo

          New Products To Power Expansion Into Emerging Markets

          GCL System Integration Technology Co., LTD. (SZ: 002506) ("GCL-SI"), a subsidiary of GCL Group, China's leading energy service provider, has premiered four new monocrystalline and polycrystalline modules featuring Multi-Busbar (MBB) technology at the SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai. The company also revealed its plans to place equal emphasis on both module types and expand into emerging markets across the globe.

          The new additions to GCL-SI's high-efficiency portfolio come in two series, normal single-glass photovoltaic (PV) modules and glass-to-glass bifacial modules. The power output of the single-glass MBB polycrystalline modules hits 305W in mass production, making them the normal-type polycrystalline modules with the highest output in the world. The wattage for the single-glass monocrystalline modules has reached 315W, 10W higher than the standard output in China's Top Runner Program.

          "Our new lineup of modules that feature MBB technology are game-changers for us. They allow us to offer high efficiency, reliability and application flexibility at lower production costs, which makes them accessible to a wider range of potential customers," said Luo Xin, the president of GSL-SI. The 9th China International Door Industry Expo Held in Yongkang

          The 9th China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo was held from May 26 to May 28 at the Yongkang International Convention and Exhibition Center, in Yongkang, the manufacturing hub for doors in central Zhejiang Province. Nearly 1,000 well-known door producers from Hebei, Shandong, Hunan, Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces, the city of Shanghai as well as the US and South Korea, among other countries and regions, met professional buyers in Yongkang to discuss the developments and trends of the door industry.

          This is the ninth time that this industry-leading expo has been held. Compared with previous editions of the event, this year's expo featured several highlights. Companies from outside Yongkang increased in number. Among the 927 exhibitors, 560 were from outside the region, accounting for more than 60 percent of total exhibitors, according to statistics from the organizing committee. There was a dramatic increase in the number of smart lock producers. In addition, there was also a noticeable increase in the number of manufacturers of mechanical equipment with applications having to do with the actual production of a door. This reflects the adoption of a supply side approach by Yongkang-based door producers, with a focus on innovation, technology and investment in equipment, leading to a higher level of automation and intelligence in the manufacturing process.

          The door industry that is the lifeblood of Yongkang is well concentrated here, with manufacturers and suppliers playing a role across the entire production chain coupled with the sector's most advanced technological innovations and brand building achievements, earning the city the moniker of the "Door Capital of China." Yongkang is home to more than 280 professional door producers, with an annual production of 25 million units, of which over 7 million are exported.

          As a key part of the expo, the shangwj.com special event and the wujyx.com new product launch event both received a great deal of attention.
