Brighton College Bangkok's top management team, led by Chair of the Brighton College Bangkok Board of Governors, Khun Nusara (Assakul) Banyatpiyaphod and Head Master, Mr. Nick Gallop, recently visited Mahidol University's College of Music. The visit was warmly welcomed by Dr. Narong Prangcharoen, Dean of the College of Music, and Mr. Richard Ralphs, Associate Dean for Concert Hall Management and Head of Pre-College (YAMP-Young Artists Music Program).
This visit was a key step in our preparations for the upcoming opening of Brighton College Bangkok Vibhavadi. Our team was particularly interested in exploring the music facilities at Mahidol, renowned for its exceptional music programme. We sought to gain a comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure, resources, and teaching methodologies employed by the College of Music, seeking inspiration. This visit provided valuable insights into the world-class musical environment at Mahidol, which we hope to emulate in our own institution, fostering a vibrant and enriching musical experience for our pupils.
Discussions during the visit highlighted the potential for a future collaboration between Brighton College and Mahidol University in the realm of music education. Both institutions share a commitment to excellence in music, and we believe that a joint programme would offer unique opportunities for pupils to benefit from the expertise of both institutions.
We are grateful to Mahidol University College of Music for their warm hospitality and look forward to building our relationship and opening up more possibilities for our pupils!
