          Plantation Capital Group และ Asia Plantation Capital กำลังรุกขยายธุรกิจอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยหลังจากที่เครือบริษัทย้ายไปเปิดสำนักงานใหญ่ระดับโลกที่เมืองเจนีวา ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ได้เพียงหนึ่งเดือน บัดนี้ Asia Plantation Capital ก็ได้ตัดสินใจตั้งสำนักงานใหญ่ประจำภูมิภาคที่กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย

          สำนักงานใหญ่ประจำภูมิภาคของ Asia Plantation Capital ตั้งอยู่ที่อาคาร GTower บนถนน Jalan Tun Razak ตัดกับ Jalan Ampang ในย่านธุรกิจสำคัญใจกลางกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ โดยอาคาร GTower กำลังก้าวขึ้นเป็นแลนด์มาร์คแห่งใหม่ในเมืองหลวงของมาเลเซีย ในฐานะอาคารสำนักงานแห่งแรกและแห่งเดียวที่ได้รับการจัดอันดับ "Grade A++" ด้านการใช้พื้นที่เชิงพาณิชย์ ขณะเดียวกันก็เป็นอาคารสีเขียวแห่งแรกของมาเลเซีย (BCA Gold Greenmark) ที่ยึดหลักการใช้ทรัพยากรหมุนเวียนและหลักความยั่งยืน ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับหัวใจหลักของ Asia Plantation Capital และเครือบริษัท

Asia Plantation Capital คว้ารางวัล "ผู้บริหารจัดการทรัพยากรป่าไม้อย่างยั่งยืนยอดเยี่ยม" สองปีซ้อน

          Asia Plantation Capital คว้ารางวัล "Best Sustainable Asset Forestry Management Team – Global" เป็นปีที่สองติดต่อกัน จากการประกาศรางวัล Asset Management Awards ประจำปี 2558 ของ Capital Finance International

Asia Plantation Capital Defends Its Title As 'Best Sustainable Forestry Management Team' 2015

          For a second consecutive year, Asia Plantation Capital has garnered the title of 'Best Sustainable Asset Forestry Management Team - Global,' at Capital Finance International's Asset Management Awards 2015.

          Not content with defending its 'Best Sustainable Forestry Management Team' title, Asia Plantation Capital's associate company, APC Securitization SA, also picked up the award for the 'Most Innovative Forestry Bond Issuer'.

          Asia Plantation Capital's award-winning, vertically integrated business model and its unique 'From Soil, to Oil, to You' story is reportedly making waves in Europe. This comes as no surprise taking into account the rapidly rising number of groups travelling to Southeast Asia from Europe to visit the company's plantations, factories and retail outlets.  

          Over the past few months, Asia Plantation Capital has had the privilege of welcoming and hosting some of Europe's most influential investment and fund managers, state officers and private bankers for a 'show and tell' at its Southeast Asian facilities. One such group was the Geneva Economic Delegation, who visited Asia Plantation Capital's Singapore office and its partner, Fragrance Du Bois' flagship boutique at The Fullerton Hotel, on the 11th of October 2015.

          Heading the Swiss group was Pierre Maudet, Chief of the Department of Economy and Security of Geneva Canton, Michael Kleiner, Economic Development Officer at State of Geneva, Pierre Poncet, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Geneva and Vincent Subilia, Deputy Director, Head of International Affairs, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Geneva, along with a group of 25 other distinguished guests. 

          The delegation was in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to identify potential opportunities and to better understand the workings and dynamism of the Southeast Asian business environment, with a view to maintaining and further developing favourable economic relations between the two countries. Singapore is acknowledged to be Switzerland's most important trading partner in Southeast Asia, due to an existing agreement within the European Free Trade Association. 

          In his welcome speech, Stephan Leterrier, Swiss Business Development Manager of Asia Plantation Capital, introduced the company to the delegation with emphasis on the four P's, namely; Population, Planet, Plantation Tour and Profit -- the elements that reflect Asia Plantation Capital's abiding ethos. Shortly after addressing his colleagues, Pierre Maudet concluded by suggesting the addition of a fifth P, for Perfection, in Asia Plantation Capital's business model.

          The news came after Asia Plantation Capital reported revenue of US$64.7 million at its recent Annual General Meeting in Thailand, with a figure of US$8.1 million in repayments already made to clients, and an estimated repayment amount in excess of US$10 million by the end of 2015.

Asia Plantation Capital Supporting Local Communities in Sri Lanka

          As part of its unceasing commitment to holistic sustainability, the award-winning Asia Plantation Capital recently lent a hand in support of communities in Sri Lanka.

          'Holistic sustainability' - an ethos that Asia Plantation Capital subscribes to wholeheartedly - encompasses working closely with and supporting the local communities in and around which the company operates, by providing investment as well as social and cultural support.

          One of the communities benefiting from Asia Plantation Capital's involvement is the Kathiran Kattu Estate - a plantation situated in rural Sri Lanka. It recently held its annual blood donation drive in celebration of one of its plantation's fifth anniversaries, and following on from the success of last year, Asia Plantation Capital was delighted to be able to give something back to society by helping the community help itself.

          The blood donation drive was held at the Sri Bodhimalu Temple Hall, Puttalam, on the morning of the 11th of October 2015, and was held jointly with the Puttalam General Hospital medical team. After meticulous planning and checks on donor suitability, the drive proceeded with the donation of a pint of blood from each donor. The turnout for the drive reached a record high, and it was particularly gratifying to note that members of the Sri Lankan police force were among the many donors.

          With Buddhism being the religion practised by a majority of Sri Lankans, blood donation is a significant cultural and religious act, having, at its charitable heart, the precept of giving something without expecting anything in return. Sri Lanka was the global host for World Blood Donor Day in 2014, an event that drew thousands to the country's capital, and was acknowledged to be South Asia's biggest blood drive.

          On a separate occasion, Mr Barry Rawlinson, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Plantation Capital, was at the Morapathawa Primary School, Sri Lanka, to hand out useful materials for school - such as stationery, bags and water bottles - to underprivileged students, giving them the necessary equipment with which to further their studies and creating a more conducive environment for learning. The gifts were donated by Asia Plantation Capital and some of its generous clients and staff.

          "In developing countries such as Sri Lanka," said Rawlinson, "it is easy to simply make provisions in monetary terms. At Asia Plantation Capital, we believe that we can all do our part in contributing to society by investing in the community. Holistic sustainability in Asia Plantation Capital embodies equal care and encouragement given to all members of staff; from top management all the way through to plantation workers and their families."

          "Most of the students at this school," he added, "are living below the poverty line, and in order to create a lasting impact on the sustainability of society, the health and wellbeing of the local population and its future generations is essential and needs to be addressed. I believe that handing gifts to the children personally goes a very long way. On behalf of the company, I would like to thank all our donors and staff for their kind donations and their tireless efforts in organising the event."

"A smile from these children is priceless, and a small gift to them is of significance when it comes to improving their livelihoods.           The level of poverty in Sri Lanka is decreasing, but remains an issue. Asia Plantation Capital has been supporting schools and their students for the past six years, and has pledged to continue its support in the years ahead, with plans to supply new bicycles, computers and other essential educational supplies into 2016 and beyond. The company is carrying through its commitment to providing investment and infrastructure projects in all the communities in and around which it operates.

Asia Plantation Capital Scaling New Heights at the Annual General Meeting

          Award-winning plantation management company Asia Plantation Capital held its Thailand Annual General Meeting last Saturday, 10 October 2015, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

          Scaling new heights, Asia Plantation Capital declared revenue of US$64.7 million for the 2014 financial year, while surpassing the figure of US$8.1 million in repayments to clients since inception, and forecasted to pass US$10 million by the end of 2015. Updates were also given on the exponential growth and acquisition of plantations in the region, with emphasis on the opening of Southeast Asia's largest agarwood processing factory in Malaysia. The factory - occupying 44,000 ft? and boasting an impressive collection of 20 distillery stills - is integral to Asia Plantation Capital's expansion plans to increase market share in the years ahead.

          Opening the Annual General Meeting, Mr Barry Rawlinson, Asia Plantation Capital Group Chief Executive Officer, addressed the crowd of 300 Thailand-based plantation owners and stakeholders, and spoke of the company's unceasing dedication and relentless approach to 'holistic' sustainability - which encompasses equal care and encouragement given to all members of staff, from top management all the way through to plantation workers.

          Some of the other highlights included the introduction of new branches of the group focusing on sustainable essential oils, real estate, organics and bamboo. This is a major part of the company's continuous commitment to research and development across all of its core plantation sectors.

          Mr Roger Hargreaves, Chairman of Asia Plantation Capital Thailand, further updated the audience on Asia Plantation Capital's associate company, Eco Tech Asia's latest developments, which focus on green energy, solar power, and a range of environmentally friendly goods, such as bamboo bikes ('APC Boo Bikes'), luggage, teak and bamboo flooring, as well as high-powered solar cell products.

          Reiterating Asia Plantation Capital's approach to holistic sustainability, Mrs Jinda Tonkhambai, General Manager and Forestry Director, Thailand, outlined the practical aspects of the work and care undertaken in all of Asia Plantation Capital's staff working across 126 plantations in Thailand and Sri Lanka. Apart from commercial activities, Asia Plantation Capital strongly supports and works closely with the local communities in and around which it operates, by providing social and cultural support, as well as investment. An example of this was when Asia Plantation Capital gifted bicycles to the children of a village in Thailand as part of the Children's Day celebrations.

          Associate professor, Dr Pakamas Chetpattanondh, from the Prince of Songkla University, also presented the audience with groundbreaking scientific and technical data, on behalf of the research department. Asia Plantation Capital's Scientific Advisory Board is currently working in collaboration with Dr Dai Haofu, Deputy Director at the Institute of Tropical Bioscience and Biotechnology in China, on the medicinal and healing benefits of Oud oil. As of last year, primary research efforts have been focused on methods of inoculation for agarwood, along with process efficiency and distillation excellence, all of which are designed to expand and hone the methods of stimulating resin development on Asia Plantation Capital's plantations.

          Brand Director of Fragrance Du Bois, Nicola Parker, brought the audiences up to date on the brand's growth and expansion over the past year - with significant emphasis placed on the partnership with Asia Plantation Capital, and its ongoing commitment to using 100% pure Oud oil, supplied by the plantation company. The brand has also opened its doors in Southeast Asia to stock and promote some of the world's most exclusive fragrances.

          Having recently celebrated the first anniversary of its flagship boutiques in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, along with the launch of its newly crafted scent, London Oud, the biggest news came with the announcement that the niche, luxury brand will be opening its next concept boutique in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This will accompany a number of 'concessions' and 'pop ups' in department stores in major cities around the world.

          A 'pop up' display, replicating Fragrance Du Bois' flagship boutiques in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, was also available for attendees to experience an educational and sensory treat.

          "2014 has been yet another exciting year," said the Asia Plantation Capital Group's CEO, Barry Rawlinson, "and not just in the region, but globally as well. Apart from the expansion and tremendous growth in the forestry sector, our efforts have also been recognised by industry experts, and we were honoured to have received two awards for sustainable forestry."

To meet the increasing demands for sustainably and naturally produced products, Asia Plantation Capital launched one of its newest divisions earlier this year - Asia Plantation Capital Essentials - to supply sustainably grown essential oils to both small and large companies. Additionally, Asia Plantation Capital's partner brand - French, niche, luxury perfume house, Fragrance Du Bois - recently created L'Essence Du Bois, which takes the form of an educational and experiential journey through the 52 essences of nature found in all fine fragrances.

All Oud oil produced by Asia Plantation Capital is CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna & Flora) and IFRA (the International Fragrance Association) certified, and will be showcased in a perfumery workshop facilitated by fragrance expert, Joanna Norman, on the third day of the conference.

Founded in the UK, the conference will see a record breaking number of more than a thousand industry professionals over the course of four days, and has previously been held in cities such as Rome, San Francisco, Singapore, and Barcelona.
