China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair to be Held November 1-4

The 8th China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair (http://en.forestryfair.com) will be held this year in Yiwu, China from November 1-4. The fair, China's first and the world's second UFI-certificated agriculture and forestry fair, serves as an important trade platform for the exchange between China's agriculture and forestry sectors and the world. Exhibits at this year's fair include timberwork and wooden building materials, bamboo and wooden artware, daily necessities made of wood and bamboo, forest foods, floriculture as well as forestry technologies and equipment.

The number of exhibitors hits a new high

So far, more than 3,600 companies have registered or expressed their intention to attend the fair, an unexpected and astounding 121% of the original number of expected registrants. Seven themed or geographically-based pavilions will each have more than 30 companies exhibiting. Taiwanese exhibitors, with 400 booths, are once again the highlight of the event. The China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair is the world's most popular forestry exhibition.

Continuously improved levels of specialization among exhibitors

The China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair is held with a focus on commerce and trade. With each year's event, the fair organizers have constantly worked to optimize the layout of the exhibition areas and the structure of exhibits. They have also encouraged exhibitors to differentiate themselves from their counterparts, by expanding the areas dedicated to specialized and specialty industries. This year the show fully expects to play a market leading role in establishing the market mechanism for China's agriculture and forestry sectors, in addition to becoming the leading annual event where industry players can congregate and exhibit their wares as well as a vehicle for attracting foreign investment.

Continuously optimizing the quality of the fair through concurrent events

This year, the fair organizers have judiciously added a series of concurrent events, each of which an authoritative and influential event within one sector of the industry, in a move to enhance the level of specialization surrounding the main event. Three major forums as well as three events. In addition, an event especially set up for international buyers, the Forest Fair Multinational Purchasing Merchant Trade Fair, will take place concurrently as well. The hosting of these events further increases the reputation and influence of the fair.
