Chiba Prefecture's Mascot "CHI-BA+KUN" to Appear in Bangkok to Promote Attractiveness of Chiba in Outdoor Advertisements, TV Program in Thailand
The Chiba Prefectural Government will promote the attractiveness of Chiba in a campaign it will conduct in downtown Bangkok, Thailand, from January 26 to February 25, 2017, using its outdoor advertisements featuring the prefecture's mascot "CHI-BA+KUN."
1. Outdoor ads (digital signage)
(1) Period: from Thursday, January 26, to Saturday, February 25, 2017
(2) Locations: four places in Bangkok
A square in front of the Siam-Paragon shopping center, the Asok intersection and Siam Station (2 locations)
2. Airing of TV program featuring Chiba tourism attractions
(1) Name of the program: Viva Chiba! - Tourist attractions in Chiba recommended to Thais for spring/summer 2017 -
(2) Content of the program:
In this program, tourist attractions in Chiba Prefecture popular with Thais will be introduced by ranking methods. Former Miss Thailand, model and entertainer Yiiingya and CHI-BA+KUN will introduce tourist spots and local cuisine while traveling around Chiba. Narita-san Shinsho-ji temple, strolling in Sawara, picking strawberries, seafood barbecue, etc.
(3) Aired in Thailand by Ch3 SD during "WAKUWAKU JAPAN Hour"
(4) Schedule of the program: 9:00-9:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017
3. Use of CHI-BA+KUN's official Facebook page for the campaign
The Chiba Prefectural Government will use its official Facebook page to show CHI-BA+KUN's public relations activities in Thailand and disseminate information on Chiba Prefecture in Thai.
