The Centre of Excellence for Fertility has been developed with the goal of creating a global benchmark for fertility treatment by standardising clinic management and laboratory protocols in IVF and therefore increasing success rates for patients worldwide.
Located close to Genea's joint venture clinic Superior ART in Bangkok, the Centre of Excellence for Fertility is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility. It includes laboratory space modelled on Genea's leading Embryology and Andrology labs, lecture rooms for theoretical sessions as well as quiet areas for trainee study and reflection. The close proximity to Superior ART means trainees will have exclusive access to the clinic and the opportunity to see first-hand how Genea and Merck's leading science and technology works in a clinical setting.
"Patients of IVF clinics worldwide will benefit from the involvement of scientists and clinicians with the program at the Centre of Excellence for Fertility," Genea Chief Executive Officer Dr Tomas Stojanov said.
"Put simply, Genea's Mission is to fulfil people's hopes and expectations for a healthy baby. The creation of the Centre of Excellence is a key pillar in achieving that aim internationally."
Courses at the Centre of Excellence for Fertility have been designed to suit a range of technical levels from basic through to advanced and are intended to be a part of a wider clinic-run training program.
"The Centre of Excellence is an international training hub addressing the global unmet needs within fertility clinics by promoting standardization of processes for consistently high treatment outcomes," Head of the Global Business Franchise Fertility Dorothea Wenzel said.
