Wild & Wonder in the Digital Age: L'Eden by Perrier-Jouet is Unveiled in Tokyo

Following on from Miami, London and Shanghai, L'Eden by Perrier-Jouet now comes to Tokyo, bringing its distinctive concept of rewilding to the Japanese capital's fashionable Shibuya district. Perrier-Jouet's cutting-edge brand experience offers a fresh perspective on natural beauty, transforming unexpected urban locations into wild and enchanting spaces where time stands still.

In Tokyo - from April 25 to May 7, 2017 - the Maison is transforming a corner of Shibuya into a luxuriant tribute to nature: its enduring source of inspiration. At L'Eden by Perrier-Jouet, guests enter a hidden paradise of lush foliage and exotic flowers, inhabited by surreal creatures. A captivating blend of wilderness and state-of-the-art technology & an interactive artwork by Miguel Chevalier, the renowned pioneer of digital art.

At the heart of the space is a recreation of L'Eden itself - the 200-year-old cellar hidden underground in Epernay, containing Perrier-Jouet's most exclusive wines. The Maison's cellar master Herve Deschamps will be in Tokyo to host informative tastings of the prestigious Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque cuvees. In one of the highlights of the event, he will also be revealing a brand new wine: Perrier-Jouet Blanc de Blancs. This vivacious new cuvee pays elegant tribute to the Maison's emblematic Chardonnay grape.

Chevalier's Extra Natural is a virtual garden that interacts with visitors, its plants inclining to the left or right as they move through the space. Flowers wave in a virtual wind, as petals and leaves fall like poetic rain. It creates a scene that alternates between baroque strapwork and a stylized organic ballet, evoking vegetal Art Nouveau interlacing.

Throughout its fortnight in Tokyo, L'Eden by Perrier-Jouet will be open day and night to host a dazzling variety of parties and events. In the evening, the leafy space will welcome a selection of exclusive parties. By day, visitors will be able to attend a program of master-classes and talks, at which international wine experts reveal the secrets of the Maison's delicately floral champagnes.

Renowned for its long-standing ties with the world of art, Maison Perrier-Jouet is reinterpreting its Art Nouveau heritage for the 21st century, fusing art and nature into the extraordinary multi-sensory experience that is L'Eden by Perrier-Jouet. At the opening party , personalities in attendance included Yuri Ebihara, Elli Rose, Miki Maya and Rei Kikukawa.
