BookDoc Charging Ahead by Strengthening Its Core Management Team ?and Board of Advisors

          Strengthening its operational team to meet the increasing demand and expanding their geographical presence.

          BookDoc, having sealed its record seed funding round led by members of the Brunei Royal Family, is on course for its technology development and market expansion roadmap with the further strengthening of its operational team.

          The International Alternative Investment Review (IAIR) recently named BookDoc one of its VI Annual Edition of IAIR Corporate Awardees for Mobile Healthcare Technology, placing BookDoc, the only start-up among other well-respected awards recipients such as DHL Global Forwarding, China Telecom and Hutchison Global Communications. This prestigious award, which distinguishes companies for their Leadership, Sustainability, Innovation and Financial Excellence, is a significant recognition for BookDoc which started barely 6 months ago.

          BookDoc has been expanding its workforce in the region and bringing on-board seasoned healthcare professionals to strengthen its team.

          Prof. Dr. Tay Boon Keng, a highly respected medical veteran of Singapore, has been appointed to the Advisory Group of BookDoc which advises BookDoc on strategic areas related to content, medical ethics, prevailing and forthcoming regulatory matters. He joins other reputable members of the Group which include Tan Sri Dato' Dr. M. Jegathesan, former Deputy Director-General of Health Malaysia, and Major General Dato' Pahlawan Dr. Mohandas Ramasamy (Rtd), former Director General of Health Services. Prof Dr Tay has held numerous professional and academic appointments in SingHealth, Singapore General Hospital, National University of Singapore among others, and is currently the Emeritus Consultant for SingHealth's International Collaboration Office and the Emeritus Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Singapore General Hospital.

          In addition, Ms. Leong Choy Fun, the former CEO of Pantai Ipoh (a hospital under IHH Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia) has joined as the COO of BookDoc; Ms. Poh Bee Kuan, former Deputy Director of Singapore General Hospital as the Country Head of BookDoc Singapore; and Mr. Lee Mean Yeit, former Head of Strategy & Business Development of Sime Darby Healthcare as Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development of BookDoc.

          Dato' Chevy Beh, the Founder, highlighted that human resource with in-depth industry expertise is the most important asset for a technology company operating in the healthcare space. "We will continue to recruit and strengthen the operational team to meet growing demand in the region, and increasing our geographical presence. We aim to enter Thailand in April 2016."
